Last Day of the Shopbop Sale + Weekly Recap

Last Day of the Shopbop Sale

In all honesty, Shopbop is not a place where I shop frequently. However, I follow a ton of fashion bloggers who know ALL about the best places to shop and the best sales. And I have learned a lot of information from following these girls.

Things I have learned:

  • This Shopbop sale started on Wednesday, and it runs through today.
  • You get 20% off orders under $500.
  • You get 25% off orders $500+.
  • The sale includes full price and sale items.
  • You have to use the code EOTS17 for the discount to be applied.
  • Shopbop is owned by Amazon, so if you have an Amazon Prime account, you can get free 3 day shipping and returns!
  • Some of my favorite brands included in the sale are Free People, Hunter, Sam Edelman, Tory Burch, Spanx, Madewell, AG jeans, and Kate Spade.
  • Several of these brands are rarely marked down, so now is the time to buy (even if you have to save it for a Christmas gift)!
  • Make sure you use the code EOTS17 for the discount to be applied!

If I could suggest one item, I would suggest these Spanx faux leather leggings. I got mine during the big Nordstrom sale. Ebie got some last weekend and paid full price because they are so fabulous. And now you can get them for 20-25% off (sorry girl). They are high waisted, so comfortable, flattering, and fabulous! But if you're not a faux leather fan, these black leggings are also made by Spanx and look flattering and amazing as well.

Part of the Shopbop sale- Leggings; Not part of the sale- Sweater // Boots (10% off at Nordstrom)

My Picks

I would love to hear if you place a Shopbop order! I'm currently deciding between several pieces of jewelry because the prices are so fabulous! And I'm also thinking about ordering the solid black Spanx leggings because I love the faux leather Spanx leggings so much! Thanks for reading! Have a wonderful weekend!

The Prettiest Pjs

Last Christmas, my aunt Mary and my cousins gave Ebie and me the fabulous pajamas I'm sharing with you today. Pajamas are always something I have loved to buy. Some people collect sunglasses (my mom). I collect pajamas. Maybe it started with the silky Limited Too pajamas? Regardless, I'm sharing my current favorites with you today!

I have shared with you before that my sister in law and her family give me a pair of pajama pants from Anthropologie (or a gift card for them) every Christmas. Best gift ever! I have loved those for years and still love them. However, the brand of pjs I'm sharing with you today was new to me until I received my first pair last Christmas.

IMG_6028.jpg

I have this pearl colored pair of satin pants. And they come in 12 colors! Ebie has this blue set, and it comes in 9 colors. The colors are all beautiful and the fabric is SO incredibly soft. We both sized down because they do run big. I'm wearing size small, and Ebie is wearing size extra small.

IMG_6030.jpg

The best news is that my pajama pants are 25% off in several colors! My exact colored ones are still full price. However, the black, blush, dark silver, morning blue, and navy are all 25% off making them under $50! Click here to check them out! I love the blush ones.

IMG_6029.jpg

And if you prefer boxer shorts to pants, you can click here to check those out. Or click here to check out all of the options available by this brand. As far as I'm concerned, you can't go wrong with any pieces they make!

Also, one of my least favorite parts about blogging is taking pictures. I feel guilty asking people to take time out of their day to take my picture, and I'm not like other bloggers who are so good at rocking tons of poses. All I can do is smile. I have tried blogger faces/ poses, and I'm here to tell y'all that is not for me.

However, I truly enjoyed every minute of this little photoshoot. After dinner on my last night in Mobile, Ebie and I changed into our pajamas, and my mom snapped zillions of photos on her iPad while my dad hung out in a chair and my pups were being themselves. Bailey wanted to hang out for a little while and then she chose to go under the bed (as shown below). Rosie was her crazy, funny little self, causing us to laugh hysterically.

IMG_6032.jpg

When I was going through the pictures after my mom took them, I made the comment that one of the pictures looked staged. My dad said these photos were not staged. We were truly having the best time being together and laughing at the craziness of trying to get pups to cooperate for photos. I wish all picture taking was this fun!

One final thought- I always stay honest with y'all on Art Fashion Fun. Ebie truly wears her pj set exactly as pictured. I wore this $7 tee because I wanted to focus on the PJ Harlow brand, and I felt as if my typical sleep shirt distracts a little from that. But in all honesty, I actually wear one size fits all Disney sleepshirts every single night. My collection now consists of Tinkerbell, Minnie Mouse, Eeyore x2, and Cinderella.

IMG_6033.jpg

AND OH MY GOSH- I just discovered (while writing this post) that they can be bought online!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to retire my Tinkerbell one that I bought in high school, and I thought they could only be bought at Disney World! I have searched online for these things for years.

My mother in law picked up 2 of them for me (a Cinderella one from her and Eeyore one from my mom) when she was at Disney World last year, and now I can order my own online! Ok, I didn't mean to get into all of this, but I truly wear my Disney sleep shirts every night and am so excited about this discovery! Because I just know you want your own Disney sleep shirt, I will leave you a link to shop this stylish piece of clothing here- Cinderella sleep shirt.

Anyway, my Disney sleep shirts (and any other pj top) work perfectly with these pj pants because they are so fabulous and comfortable.

IMG_6027.jpg

Have you tried these pjs? We clearly love them. Thanks so much for reading! Have a wonderful day!

Outfit #6- This olive green tee is my favorite tee I own. It is currently marked down from $58 to under $28. My mom has the sky blue, and it is so pretty. I can't say enough positive things about it!

Wednesday Wishlist: Fall Edition

There are so many beautiful fall items on the web right now that I WANT! So instead of doing a Wednesday Wishlist with a specific retailer this week, I have rounded up my favorite items for fall across the web!

IMG_76FCF2F43FC9-1.jpeg

From left to right: Pink Slouchy Tunic // Bow Mules // Platform Wedges // Ankle Strap Sandals // Bright Plum Tiewaist Topcoat // Blue Mockneck Dress // Blush Hailey Dress // Ruffle Cardigan // Ruffle Sleeve Dress // Turtleneck Tunic // Ruffled Hem V-neck Tee // Pompom Cable Sweater // Ruffled Cowl Neck Pullover // Ruffled Pocket Skirt

Pink Slouchy Tunic- The price of this tunic is a little high, but oh my goodness gracious, I LOVE IT!

Bow Mules- I have tried to buy this pair of shoes in grey and fuchsia several times, but they sold out in my size in both colors. I am still waiting for someone to return a pair, so I can buy them. But they do come in other colors too. I feel like these would be my fall uniform shoe. If you order them, I have heard you need to size up half a size.

Platform Wedges- These are always on my wishlist! I think they would work for the majority of the year. One day I will own these!

Ankle Strap Sandals- These look like such a great basic that would go with everything and be a classic pair of shoes you have in your closet forever.

Bright Plum Tiewaist Topcoat- I mean this is a wishlist, so I can include items that I am wishful for, even if they are way far out of my budget, right?? Obsessed doesn't even cover it with this coat.

Blue Mockneck Dress- This is one of those dresses that you would be so glad to have in your closet. So classic, but also so many great details.

Blush Hailey Dress- This dress comes in several different colors and is only $46. I have tried to purchase it in navy and olive, and it has sold out of my cart. :( If they have it in the size and color you like, I suggest you purchase as soon as possible. So many fashion bloggers have posted about it, so I feel certain it will be a fabulous purchase.

Ruffle Cardigan- This is another piece I have seen several fashion bloggers wearing, and I love it!

Ruffle Sleeve Dress- I obviously already own this dress, but I put it on my wishlist because I want it in gray and olive as well. Under $40, so comfortable, ruffle sleeves, and pockets?? It's just so great!

IMG_5556.jpg

Turtleneck Tunic- The model has this on with jeans, but I would pair it with leggings and boots. Need this.

Ruffled Hem V-neck Tee- I always love ruffles, and I think the ruffles on this tee make a basic tee more fun! This would be a great layering piece to wear now and later.

Pompom Cable Sweater- So pompoms were a huge trend for spring and summer, and now there is a fall piece with them! Love this!

Ruffled Cowl Neck Pullover- I absolutely must have this.

Ruffled Pocket Skirt- Another ruffle piece? Maybe I should branch out, but I just love all the ruffle things! Cutest skirt I've ever seen!

Fall Dresses for Under $50

I am so excited about wearing my new fall clothes, but I just look silly trying to pull off some of my new pieces in 80+ degree temps. However, all of the dresses I am sharing with you today are perfect to wear now and later on into fall!

Ruffle Sleeve Dress- I picked this up during Nordstrom's big sale, and it kept selling out over and over again. However, it is back on Nordstrom's website in pink, gray, and olive, and it is fully stocked in all sizes! I highly suggest this one. I have already worn mine several times and am seriously considering getting at least one more color. Booties (mine are from last year, I linked the most similar pair I could find), also similar // Crossbody Bag

IMG_5556.jpg

Yellow Swing Dress-I actually got this exact dress last year, but it did so well last year that they brought it back this year in different colors. Click here for the floral version of this dress. Boots // Tote

Plaid Shirt Dress 2- I also got this one!

IMG_4510.jpg

Wednesday Wishlist: Dillard's Edition

Remember yesterday when I mentioned the birthday shopping spree my mom, my sister, and I went on to celebrate Ebie's birthday? The majority of our time was spent at Dillard's, so today I'm sharing what we found. Lots of these items are on major sale!

Lace Inset Ruffle Hem Blouse- My mom and I both got this top! It is currently marked down from $79 to $27.65! The cute little ruffles and covered buttons on the back won us over. This will be cute now and as we transition into fall.

IMG_3636.jpg
IMG_3637.jpg
IMG_3638.jpg

Off the Shoulder Bell Sleeve Blouse- Ebie got this top! It is also marked down from $79 to $27.65! Off the shoulder neckline, stripes, and bell sleeves- yes please!

IMG_3634.jpg
IMG_3651.JPG

Embroidered Off the Shoulder Top- Ebie also got this pretty top! I typically don't wear bright orange, but I think it is so cute. I love the fun sleeves with the embroidery detail too. Click here to see the dress version. It is super cute too!

IMG_3635.jpg
IMG_3652.jpg

Cowl Neck Thermal Tee- My mom found this online and when we tried it on in the store, we both fell even more in love with it. I live in tops like this during the fall and winter. The length makes it perfect to wear with leggings AKA my winter uniform- longer tops with leggings and boots. We both got this mint color that is not currently available online. However, we are also going to grab the beige one next! I am wearing a medium in the beige one and think the fit was perfect. They did not have a medium in the mint color in the store, so I tried on a large, which was a little big, so I ordered the medium from the store.

IMG_3641.jpg
IMG_3642.jpg

Embroidered Swing Dress- Comfortable swing dresses with long sleeves are basically irresistible to me. I always get my money's worth out of dresses like this one! It comes in so many different colors too.

IMG_3647.jpg

Off the Shoulder Floral Dress- Y'all, I fell in love with this dress. They only had a small in the store, and I need a medium. The best part about it? It's marked down from $119 to $41.65! I think I will order it today. That sale price is amazing, and the details of this dress are so great!

IMG_3644.jpg

Off the Shoulder Shirtdress- I don't typically wear very fitted things, but this dress is so adorable! From the off the shoulder neckline to the short sleeves to the print to the buttons down the front, there are just so many great things going on!

IMG_3648.jpg

Frayed Hem Dress- This is another one of those dresses I could live in. So easy to throw on and go. It's a piece that would be so great to wear while transitioning into fall with leggings and brown boots.

IMG_3646.jpg

Tassel Hem Coverup- I did not see this in the store, but I had to include it on this wishlist because #WANT! It's one size fits all, and I think the tassels and style are too cute! Plus, now's the time to buy coverups for next year. It's marked down from $85 to $29.75!

I cannot find our Lilly Pulitzer items on the Dillard's website, so I have linked them up to Lilly's website. I absolutely love these finds! This dress will be worn on repeat until fall begins. And BTW- more Lilly news coming to the blog tomorrow!

Ebie's Shirt // My Dress // My Mom's Dress

IMG_3240 2.JPG

Printed Popover- I have been wanting one of these since they came out, and I basically haven't taken it off since I got it. I sized up for a looser, more comfortable fit and LOVE it!

IMG_3715.jpg

Do you see anything you like? I am excited about fall clothes, but summer and spring clothes are always my favorite, so I am totally taking advantage of all these sales going on! Thanks so much for reading! Have a great day!

Wednesday Wishlist: Special Items

When talking to my dad on our weekly Friday evening phone call, I mentioned Nordstrom's huge sale going on. Not like he loves to hear about shopping or sales whatsoever, but I was so excited that I was marking something off my special wishlist, that I had to tell him. He asked if this was an actual thing. Did I have an actual special wishlist? I think he was surprised to hear that I do. I am a very visual, organized, planner type person, so I do in fact have a Note in my phone for special wishlist items.

The item I was telling him about was the Beachwaver that I did end up ordering on Saturday. I have been wanting one for a while. I follow a few bloggers who have written such great reviews on it. Also, last time I got my hair cut, I was telling my hairdresser about how bad I am at using a curling iron and asked what she would suggest for my hair, and she immediately said she thought a beachwaver would work well with the type of hair I have. She then proceeded to try to sell me one, and goodness knows I was not raised to pay full price for a hair tool.

So when I saw it was included in the Nordstrom sale, I obsessively watched it. If Nordstrom's strategy is to show so many items as sold out or backordered to make us freak out and hurry super fast to buy the things that are in stock, their strategy is working on this girl. Several of the items I wanted were out of stock, and I saw that the Beachwaver was backordered, and I was so worried it would completely sell out, so I pulled the trigger. I bought it, and I am SO excited I did. I cannot wait for it to come in. Like I said, it is backordered, but I'll let you know how I feel about it when it does come in. And if my hair looks as fabulous as this girl's hair looks in the picture. Chances= slim to not possible.

Anyway, back to the list. The items on this list are not items I would buy for myself, unless there's a huge sale (and even then I wouldn't buy several items). However, if you are reading this Parker (he's not), I'll take anything on this list for Christmas, Labor Day, Halloween, or any other occasion.

I understand this list looks excessive, materialistic, and quite frankly insane. I don't expect this list to be all marked off anytime soon (or quite possibly ever). I had a sectional and beachwaver on this list for years, and I got to mark both of them off this year. I'm asking for a camera for Christmas, so hopefully I'll be able to mark 3 things off during 2017. Although how nice would it be to have an entire closet full of matching hangers??? That is a goal of mine.

A goal I have had for Art Fashion Fun was reached today, and I am SO excited to share the news with y'all tomorrow! So stay tuned!! I know you are all on the edge of your seats right now. :)

Anyway, am I the only one in the world who has a wishlist like this? Maybe you have special items in your head you would love to have, but you don't actually have a specific place where you write them? Surely it's not just me. :) Thanks for reading! Have a great day!

Wednesday Wishlist: Loft Edition

It's been a while since I posted my last Wednesday Wishlist, so I'm excited to share this one today! I had not been to Loft in years and decided to stop in Saturday. They just so happened to be having a 40% off the entire store sale. And they are currently offering an additional 50% off sale items. It will be taken off your items as soon as you add them to your cart! There are some seriously great items for seriously great prices!

I bought 3 of the items that I am sharing today, but I wanted a lot more. I will definitely be checking out Loft more frequently. Click on the words in Italics to be taken directly to the site.

Fiesta Off the Shoulder Top- Starting off this wishlist with one of my very favorite things I tried on. They were running low on sizes in the store, and they didn't have my size in this top, but I think it is SO cute. From the sleeves to the embroidery to the smocked off the shoulder neckline and colors, I love it all!

Playa Off the Shoulder Top- Now I'll move on to something I did not like. :) I could tell it was supposed to be an off the shoulder top, but the tasseled tie would not stay in the center. It was always off to one side and the sleeves did not look right when the neckline was pulled off the shoulder. I thought it could be a festive Fourth of July top, but it clearly was not working for me.

Lacey Ruffle Yoke Shell- They didn't have this shirt in my size (the arm holes were way too big in this size unfortunately), but I think it is so cute. I love the bright blue color, lace frame, and ruffles. However, I would definitely have to front tuck this top with these shorts or wear it with different bottoms because the top of these shorts stuck out and made me look sort of pregnant. This would be a cute top for ladies who are pregnant. However, I am not. It is just the top of my shorts sticking out.

Striped Puff Sleeve Dress- I tried this on because I am always drawn to fun sleeves. When I saw it on, I immediately decided it was a no go. The sleeves did not look the way I was expecting them to. I actually love the fit of the dress and the navy and white stripes, but the sleeves were not a good look on me.

Ruffle Flounce Dress- I absolutely adore this dress. They only had an XS and a L in the store, so obviously I tried on the large and it was way too big and long, but I'm seriously considering ordering it online. It has been marked down from $89.50 to $39.50, and I love it! If you click on the link, you can see how the model is actually wearing the correct size, and it is so cute. I love the flutter sleeves and the ruffle flounce hem. It reminds me of a Camilyn Beth dress for a fraction of the price.

Cropped Skinny Chinos- These are the ultimate teacher pants. I love how they fit throughout the legs, but I could tell I would be pulling them up all day long if I bought them because they were too big in the waist. They're such a pretty coral color though!

Textured Pocket Open Cardigan- This material was a little too thick for me to be buying at the moment, but I do really like the look and length of this whisper white cardigan.

Flutter Shoulder Shell- This top clearly needs to be steamed, but I had to get it. It is such a great drapey white top with the cutest detail- flutter shoulder sleeves! So easy to throw on now and into the fall with a cardigan.

Vintage Soft Flutter Tee- Do you think I love flutter sleeves? The sleeves and pale mint heather color drew me in, but the material sealed the deal. This top is SO soft. I am considering getting the gray one too.

Spacedye Open Cardigan- I have been on the lookout for a new cardigan lately. I obviously don't currently need one with these 90+ degree days, but it's always freezing inside after you are sweltering outside... I couldn't justify spending over $100 on the Free People one I have had my eye on, so I got this one. And I love it! I can wear it inside for now and more often in the fall!

What do y'all think about Loft? I typically associate it with workwear, but they actually have items for all occasions. I clearly really liked it and will be back again when they have another great sale! Thanks so much for reading!

Brands I Love: Lilly Pulitzer

Lilly Pulitzer is a brand that I have been wearing for years and years, so it only seemed right to add this post to my Brands I Love series. My mom started buying my sister and me Lilly shift dresses when we were young. However, at some point, maybe in middle school or high school, I started getting embarrassed to wear such vibrant patterns. I guess the opinions of other people made me second guess my love of this bright, happy brand. However, this phase didn't last long. I am a bright color lover, so it was only a matter of time before I stopped caring what others thought and decided to wear what I love! Plus, Lilly has more than just vibrant patterns. They also have solid colored clothing and tons of options for everyone!

My mom and I are both wearing Lilly dresses in the photo above. Most of the Lilly clothing we own has been bought when it was highly discounted. They have two HUGE sales a year. These sales take place in August and January. The August one is coming soon, and I will have more information about it for you as we get closer to the sale. You do not want to miss it! Items are marked down like you wouldn't believe.

Today, I'm going to share photos of the Lilly Pulitzer items that I own. Being from Mobile and close to the beach, I was under the impression everyone knew about Lilly. I wore a dress that was very obviously Lilly Pulitzer to school in Arkansas one day and was asked who made my dress. I couldn't believe people were unfamiliar with Lilly. So if you don't already know about Lilly, I am SO excited to share this brand with you. If you are familiar with it, I'm excited to share some of my favorite pieces with you! You can click on the blog category headings to be taken directly to the Lilly site.
