Brands I Love: Free People Part 2

Did you catch yesterday's Brands I Love: Free People Part 1 post? If not, you can click here to check it out. I talked about my number 1 favorite Free People top yesterday and several favorite dresses.

Today I'm sharing the rest of my Free People tops, which are my very favorite tops for fall and winter. Some of the price points are a little higher than I typically like to spend. However, items made by this brand are the best quality and will last you years and years and years!

Also, thanks to my mom and sister for taking pictures with me, and thanks to my dad for being our photographer! Sometimes I get sick of looking at pictures of me by myself over and over again, so I loved mixing things up and having them join me in a few shots! We all love Free People!

Cowl Neck Pullover- This is one of those sweaters you get your money's worth out of. It's so comfortable and a great length, so you can wear it with leggings or skinny jeans. I have my eye on this blue one and this oatmeal colored one. I shared my number 1 favorite Free People top yesterday, but this one is in my top 3 favorites!

Thermal Top- This is my newest top from Free People, and I love it! It is also in my top 3 favorites. It comes in 9 colors, and I want them all. I clearly have a thing for long tops I can wear with leggings, and this one is perfect for that. It also has thumbholes, which are always fun! I kinda bunched my sleeves up for the first picture, but you can see what they look like in the second picture! Also, they only had a large in the store, so you can see in the second picture that sizing up makes it a much slouchier fit. Some people prefer that. However, I went with the medium, and it is less slouchy but still flowy!

Button Front Blouse- I tried this top on a few weeks ago and loved it immediately. It is a classic button down shirt with a fun twist thanks to the sleeve details and cute hemline! I've had 3 people ask me to find clothing that is appropriate for work but also normal-looking for after work, and  I have to say this top is the winner! Perfect for work and play! I love versatile pieces like this one!

Plaid Tunic- I discovered this top during the big Nordstrom sale, and it sold out so quickly. I grabbed this blue one and the peach one because it is such a great plaid top with cute buttons down the sides. I saw where it came back in one size, so I linked it up. However, I'm scared it's going to be sold out again soon. If you ever see it in stock again, grab it!! This is my favorite plaid top I've ever owned.

Hooded Pullover- My mom found this top, and it is the perfect, cozy pullover. It runs really big. Size down one size. There is a lot of fabric, but we could not love it anymore!

Silk-Blend Cardigan- This cardigan was the It Cardigan last year, and we waited until it went on sale and grabbed it a couple months ago. It is still on sale!  My friend Emily and I picked it up in the pretty green color at Nordstrom Rack yesterday. Brands I Love: Free People Part 1

I accidentally skipped my post in the Brands I Love series for the month of September, so this month, I am giving you 2 blog posts dedicated to 1 brand I love! Free People definitely deserves more than one blog post. I can confidently say that it is my favorite brand for sweaters and fall tops.

Today I'm sharing my very favorite top by Free People and some of my favorite dresses. Tomorrow I will be back to share the rest of my Free People tops and sweaters.

My Favorite Free People Top- If you have read my blog posts over the past couple of months, you have probably seen this top 10 times. It is called a thermal tee and is the perfect lightweight sweater material, which makes it perfect to wear in the fall and winter months down south. You can see in the photo above that it is a very versatile top and can be styled in various ways!

I have the mint and also want the beige. My mom and Ebie have the mint and beige ones. My mother in law has 2 of them. One of her best friends got one. My Tridelt house mother has one. It's such a great top y'all! I did size down to a small because Free People typically does run on the larger side. However, I think this top is supposed to have an oversized fit anyway. The length makes it the perfect top to wear with leggings or skinny jeans and boots AKA my fall uniform!

Perfectly Victorian Dress- Free People has brought this dress back several years in a row now because it does so well and sells out every year! I have it in mustard and my mom has it in blue. These exact colors are no longer available. However, I LOVE the black and pink ones that are available. The dress is so fun that all you have to do is throw on a cute pair of shoes and some simple accessories, and you've got the cutest outfit!

Embroidered Minidress- How pretty is this dress? I love the bright lilac color and the embroidery. If lilac is not your thing, it comes in 5 other colors and is one of those dresses that you will be so happy to have in your closet! So easy to throw on with a pair of booties now and a pair of leggings and boots later on (if it ever actually cools down).

Off the Shoulder Shift Dress- If I were still in college, I know I would have had this dress in red (even though it is not Alabama red) for gameday! However, now that I am out of college, I think I would get a lot more wear out of the black one. It comes in 4 colors and is so cute and fun!

Neutral Striped Dress- This was one of my favorite dresses of the summer! I love the neutral stripes, sleeves, and length. You can now get it on sale! I also got it in the other color way because I thought it was such a cute dress.

Magic Mystery Tunic- I actually got this last fall, but they brought it back again this year! It is considered a tunic, but it is basically dress length and looks adorable with leggings and boots! The fun bell sleeves are my favorite part!

Brands I Love: Tory Burch

Sharing my 4th post in the Brands I Love series today! For the month of July, I have chosen to feature Tory Burch. Most of her pieces are investment pieces, but they are all well-made classics that will never go out of style.

The smartest time to add to your Tory Burch collection is during a sale. I have gotten quite a few of my items during her big Black Friday sale. My Favorite Handbag

Robinson Tote- I got this bag from my parents for Christmas a few years ago. I cannot believe they stopped making it. It is such a well-made, classic tote that is the perfect size. The neutral color goes with everything. The one that I linked is the most similar version of it now. The Block-T Tote is also similar. Also, you will see in the pictures below that it is not just a classic purse, but it doubles as a really comfortable place to hang out during a road trip.

My 2 Favorite Pairs of Shoes

Monroe Flip Flop- So I don't think they sell the exact shoe that I'm wearing anymore, but I have linked up some very similar ones. These are my go-to shoe for spring and summer. They are so easy to slip on and go. You can wear them with anything, and they are so comfortable. I actually have 2 pairs of this same exact shoe in this same color because I love them so much!

Miller Sandals- These are by far the most popular sandals in blogger world! When I first got mine, the emblem hurt the top of my feet a little bit because I typically don't wear shoes that have material right there. However, I broke them in after a few wears and now wear them all the time. I also have them in black patent leather. You can click here to find them in more colors!

Mini Miller- I have these in this bright yellow color and in white. One of my friends decided she wanted to have a Honeymoon Shower (instead of a Lingerie Shower) during her Bachelorette Party, so we all brought her cute sandals, coverups, beach bags, and other items she could use on her honeymoon. I thought this was the best idea ever and chose to go this route during my Bachelorette Party too. Some of my best friends got together and gifted me this same pair of shoes in white- BEST Honeymoon Shower gift ever! I didn't get a solo shot of them, but I am wearing them in the shots I took with my mom and sister.

Printed Thin Flip Flop- The next two pairs of shoes are this same style. They are one of Tory Burch's most affordable items. I picked up this first pair during the Black Friday Sale last year, and I also got a pair in this same print for Christmas gifts for my mom and sister. They are great pool and beach shoes that you d0n't have to worry about ruining when they get wet. 

Wedge Flip Flop- These are basically the same shoe as the flip flop above, but they have a wedge. Parker's sister Allyson taught me about these, and then I showed my family. Now my mom, my sister, and I all have this same pair thanks to Allyson! You can also find a carved wedge flip flop in several prints here.

Bryce Sandal- These were the first pair of Tory Burch shoes Parker bought for me! He texted my sister to ask which style he should buy me for my birthday. They were texting pictures back and forth to each other and both accidentally sent me one picture. I of course figured out what was going on and got to tell Ebie exactly which style to tell Parker I wanted. :) And then I acted totally surprised when I got them. This took place back in 2013, so Tory Burch has changed them up a little bit, but not much. I have definitely gotten Parker's money's worth out of these sandals.  The best news is that they are included in Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale right now!! And you can save $78! That's huge! They are so comfortable and go with basically any spring or summer outfit. (The second picture shows them the day that I got them- so new and clean.)

Sandals

Terra Thong Sandal- These are my newest pair, and I love them! They are a well-made classic sandal that will not go out of style. I really don't own many black pairs of sandals, so I pull these out basically anytime I need a black shoe.

Ballet Flats

The Reva- Most of the ballet flats I own by Tory Burch are Revas. I wore this style to death when I was in college. She does not make this style anymore, but apparently the style that she does make now is supposed to be more comfortable than the Revas. Sunglasses

Sunglasses- These are the sunglasses that I wear daily. Thanks to my mom, I have a gold pair (top picture) and a silver pair (second picture). My mom and I are both wearing them in the third picture. And we are all 3 wearing Tory Burch sandals and J.Crew coverups. :)

Boots

Riding Boots- These boots are an investment piece for sure. They are the best riding boots I own. Unfortunately, I don't have any good pictures of them, but I'm sharing what I've got. Parker has given me both of the pairs I have for Christmas. The best/only time to buy these is when they are on sale! And lucky for you- they are currently on sale at Nordstrom.

Brands I Love: Lilly Pulitzer

Lilly Pulitzer is a brand that I have been wearing for years and years, so it only seemed right to add this post to my Brands I Love series. My mom started buying my sister and me Lilly shift dresses when we were young. However, at some point, maybe in middle school or high school, I started getting embarrassed to wear such vibrant patterns. I guess the opinions of other people made me second guess my love of this bright, happy brand. However, this phase didn't last long. I am a bright color lover, so it was only a matter of time before I stopped caring what others thought and decided to wear what I love! Plus, Lilly has more than just vibrant patterns. They also have solid colored clothing and tons of options for everyone! 

My mom and I are both wearing Lilly dresses in the photo above. Most of the Lilly clothing we own has been bought when it was highly discounted. They have two HUGE sales a year. These sales take place in August and January. The August one is coming soon, and I will have more information about it for you as we get closer to the sale. You do not want to miss it! Items are marked down like you wouldn't believe. 

Today, I'm going to share photos of the Lilly Pulitzer items that I own. Being from Mobile and close to the beach, I was under the impression everyone knew about Lilly. I wore a dress that was very obviously Lilly Pulitzer to school in Arkansas one day and was asked who made my dress. I couldn't believe people were unfamiliar with Lilly. Brands I Love: Jack Rogers

For my second post in the Brands I Love series, I am sharing all about Jack Rogers, my very favorite brand of shoes. Although I was a little late to the game in learning about Jack Rogers, once I discovered them, I never looked back.

All credit for my love of this brand goes to my adorable roomie I had the privilege of living with when teaching in Huntsville. Molly gifted all of her bridesmaids a pair of Jack Rogers (among other generous things). Not only did our classic gold Jacks look fab with our comfy monogrammed sleep shirts she gave us, but they also paired beautifully with the black bridesmaid dresses we wore to her wedding. BEST GIFTS EVER. Thanks again to you Molly for introducing me to such a fabulous brand!

On their website, Jack Rogers describes their products in this way- "They're the pieces that take you from an afternoon bike ride to evening cocktails and the ones you never forget to pack, wherever you're headed. A pop of color, an unexpected detail, a feeling of coming home...no matter where you are, that's Jack Rogers."

If you have been following Art Fashion Fun, you have seen me wearing several different styles of Jack Rogers. And you also know that my number 1 favorite pair of shoes in the world is the Marbella Mid Wedge in platinum. I love them so much that I have two pairs of this exact shoe. They are a classic pair of shoes that completes so many different outfits. The color is perfect, and my other favorite part is the height. The 2.5 inch wedge heel makes them tall enough to give you a little lift, but low enough to make them a comfortable shoe to wear all day long. I actually choose to wear these over sandals that are completely flat when deciding on a shoe that I know I will be wearing all day long. I have found that the wedge gives your foot more support than a completely flat shoe.

The gold sandal Molly gave me and the Marbella Mid Wedge are just two of the many pairs of Jack Rogers that I own and love. My mom and I are always checking out their latest styles, and when they go on sale, we purchase! Brands I Love: GiGi New York

My mom and I often say we could be in commercials for certain brands because we love them so much. When we find brands we love, we become loyal customers. "Brands I Love" is my first series on Art Fashion Fun. Each month I will post about one brand that I love. I have chosen GiGi New York for this first month's brand. Not because I am getting paid to do so (obviously), but because I think they have such amazing products, and I want to share their fabulousness with you! When GiGi New York posts about a sale, you better believe my mom and I are texting each other to discuss which product and which color we NEED now. GiGi New York is a company that sells leather handbags and accessories. They try to give all of their merchandise a timeless, classic look. On the website, they describe their bags in this way- "Shapes that conform to the eye's wishes; colors identifiable by something favorable in the past, and style that may not be new but is refreshing and timeless." I don't know about you, but when I invest in a handbag, I want it to be a timeless product that will last forever. That is just what these handbags are- classic bags that are good quality and will last a very long time. Plus, the personalization brings extra joy! You can add your initials to any item in their collection. They stamp your initials to match your bag's hardware, so you will get either silver, gold, or blind embossed initials, depending on the bag that you choose. They pay attention to all of the details. When your beautifully-wrapped package arrives at your house, your handbag is wrapped safely inside a white handbag cover in a sturdy yellow box.

4. All in One Bag (This bag has multiple functions. I mainly use mine as a clutch. My mom slips hers inside her purse and uses it to carry her sunscreen, lipstick, etc.)

Bailey and Rosie wanted to make an appearance in this post too after their exciting debut yesterday!

5. Zip Pouch (This little pouch is perfect to keep your handbag organized. You can throw all of your credit/debit cards, gift cards, cash, and coins in this little pouch to keep your handbag nice and tidy. Plus, how cute is it to mix and match 3 different colors and styles?!)
