Y’all! I have been MIA for so long now, and we have so much catching up to do. Parker and I had a baby, and we moved to Birmingham- HUGE life changes! I have missed blogging so much, but I know Charlie will only be little for so long, so I have been soaking up every second with him. It’s hard to believe he is already 6.5 months old! His birth story will be on the blog soon, but I am SO excited to be back today for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the most exciting sale of the year! Brand new fall items are discounted, as well as some staple items that Nordstrom always carries (like Zella leggings, Spanx leggings, Uggs, etc.). Early Access starts today at 11:30 AM CST, and it lasts through July 18. You have to be a Nordstrom cardholder to be able to shop, but everyone can look! Once Public Access starts on July 19, everyone can shop through August 4, and then prices go back up on August 5.
I will have another post up on July 19 when Public Access starts because I know a lot of people do not have a Nordstrom card. I typically share zillions of sale items, but I am just sticking to the best of the best this year. I will break this post into 3 categories- Staples I Own and Love (and highly suggest!), Items I am Purchasing, and More Fab Deals.
15 Staples I Own and Love
Wubby Fleece Pullover- This was my number 1 purchase from the sale last year! It sells out SO fast every single year, so I actually put this in my cart and checked out immediately before I did the rest of my shopping. It is SO soft and comfortable, so purchase it fast if you want it! The picture above was taken when I was 7 months pregnant with Charlie, so it works well pregnant or not!
High Waist Zella Leggings- I purchased these 3 years ago during the N Sale, and my leggings life was forever changed. The N Sale is the only time this particular style of Zella leggings goes on sale, so snag them now if you want an amazing pair of leggings that will last years.
Zella Crop Leggings- I have 1 pair of these and need more. These are my favorite pair of leggings to wear now because they are lightweight and perfect for exercise or just regular daily life.
Zella Maternity Leggings- Ok, I know I know. I’m going a little overboard with the Zella leggings, but they are that good, and now is the very best time to buy them! I bought these maternity leggings in medium and large last year and wore them from 20 weeks on. I probably could have just stuck with medium the whole time. They do run big, but I wore my large pair probably the last month of pregnancy. Must have for anyone who is expecting! And they have a new style this year- the Live In Pocket 7/8 Maternity Leggings. I definitely would have tried these when I was pregnant!
Spanx Faux Leather Leggings- I bought these at the sale 2 or 3 years ago, and they are such a fun twist on leggings. They are Spanx, so they are very flattering and suck you in. But they’re also so cute and fun! I like to wear them out at night, but I know some people like to wear them daily or even for exercise!
Barefoot Dreams Socks- If you have owned anything by Barefoot Dreams, then you are aware that it is the softest brand in the world. I got some of these last year and did laundry daily, so that I could wear these every night. I’ve never seen them on sale, and I bet these will sell out very quickly too!
Tory Burch Boots- A classic closet staple. I have gotten 2 pairs of these as Christmas gifts over the years, and they are clearly an investment but worth it!
Plush Throw- I bought this during my first N Sale, and now my mom, my sister, my mother in law, and several friends have it. It is such a beautiful and soft blanket for an amazing price! I stocked up last year on white and gray ones, so that I could get them monogrammed and give them as gifts.
Anthropologie Volcano Candle- Anthropologie will mark these down from time to time, maybe for 20-25% off, but you usually have to pay for shipping. They are currently marked down for around 35% off and free shipping- stock up!!
Tory Burch Sunglasses- I have a very similar (if not identical) pair of these and have gotten so much use out of them. It’s definitely best to buy them on sale!
Dior Lip Set- I am rarely ever a designer makeup type of person. However, I have splurged on the Dior lip balm and lip gloss in this set (when they were full price). They both have great color, and the lip balm is so moisturizing! Definitely worth checking out.
St. Tropez Self Tanner & St. Tropez Express Self Tanner- NOW is the time to buy this! These two types rarely ever go on sale, and these are jumbo bottles. This is my #1 favorite self tanner. The color is flawless every time (unless you run out and have to spray one leg twice). It is pricy, but worth it to get a good tan. Plus, this jumbo bottle will last a very long time.
Little Giraffe Baby Blanket- My mom got this for Charlie during the sale last year and got it monogramed in blue. If you buy the gender neutral one, you can take it to get monogrammed in pink or blue and make a mama-to-be VERY excited! It is the softest baby blanket!
Little Giraffe Hooded Towel- Another purchase my mom made last year for Charlie. It is one of our favorite towels for him. So cozy and precious with the little bear ears!
Noodle & Boo Gift Set- This gift set includes 6 of the best smelling products you will ever buy for a baby! Ebie bought Charlie the shampoo and cleansing cloths before he was born, and they have been our very favorite shampoo and wipes that we have used. Parker’s mom just bought Charlie the lotion, and it also smells AMAZING!
15 Items I am Purchasing
I didn’t think I was going to want as many items as I do this year. I thought I had all of the usual N Sale items, like Zella leggings, Spanx leggings, blankets, etc. Oh, how very wrong I was. I know my list looks out of control, but I have narrowed it down several times! Maybe (sort of hopefully) some things will be sold out by the time I’m ready to checkout.
This blog post will go live a little bit before the sale starts, so you can get an idea of some things you want, and so that I can shop right at 11:30. :) I will be sure to update it and let y’all know what I am able to grab! The sweater/top selection is phenomenal. There are so many that are long enough to wear with leggings, which are my absolute favorite! Ok, enough chatting, let’s get into it!
