September Favorites

I didn’t have enough things to write about in this type of monthly blog post for months because I was trying to wear what I had in my closet, and I wasn’t buying new things. When I went to a friend’s shower over Labor Day weekend, I was surprised to find that barely anything in my closet fit me anymore. As in, I had to try on more than a handful of dresses before I found one that fit.

I just hit 28 weeks today, which means I am now in my third trimester- I shouldn’t have been surprised by the fact that my clothes didn’t fit anymore, but it was still pretty shocking. After that rude awakening, I decided that I was due for some serious shopping. So I’m excited to share the things that I have purchased this month.

The only maternity items I have purchased are jeans and leggings, so everything else I am sharing is non maternity FYI. And I’m also sharing the 5 most purchased items from my blog after I share my personal favorites!

September Favorites

*Lou & Grey SignatureSoft Top- This is the softest and most comfortable top I own. I have worn it 4 times since I got it a week and a half ago. It runs true to size- I am normally a medium and sized up to large for pregnancy.

*Pink Tunic & Gold Earrings- My favorite outfit to wear in the fall includes a tunic or oversized sweater and leggings. This tunic is perfect for now because it is lightweight and can be worn while it is still so warm outside, and it will be a great layering top to wear as it cools down. And I thought the earrings would add a little something extra to any outfit. I love them!

*Speckeld Sweater- This sweater sold out unbelievably fast. This color is already gone, so I linked the same sweater in navy. It runs true to size. I sized up one size from my usual medium to a large.

*Boyfriend Sweatshirt- I live in this at home. When I say that, I mean that I wear it more than 2 or 3 days a week. It is so comfortable and the perfect length to wear with leggings.

*Maternity Jeans- These jeans are life-changing. Everybody who is expecting needs to do themselves a favor and purchase these ASAP! They are super affordable for maternity jeans and the most comfortable pair out there! I wear the same size in the maternity pair as I did in the nonmaternity pair I wore before pregnancy. The nonmaternity pair is amazing for people who are not expecting. They are my mom’s favorite jeans. You can click here for the non maternity style.

*Ruffle Trim Ponte Knit Dress- I have learned that when things are ponte-knit, I want them. This dress is so comfortable and cute! The ruffles on the shoulders are my favorite part. It is also a great length and runs true to size. I sized up one size from my usual medium to a large for pregnancy.

*Suede Shearling Slippers- I wear these Ugg dupes every single day. They are so soft, comfortable, and affordable! I heard that I should size up in these, so I did. I am always a size 9, and I actually sized up to a 10 because they only come in whole sizes. The 10s fit perfectly. If you’re starting to think about Christmas gifts, these make the best gift!

DIFF Sunglasses- My mom gave me these, and I always get questions about them when I wear them on my Instastories! They are so fun!

Favorite Purchases from May

We have had quite a change of pace this month after the craziness of February, March, and April. Parker and I were both in 2 of our best friends' weddings the first weekend of May, and then we spent the rest of the month at home! It was nice to have some down time, but now we are rested and excited to head to Atlanta this weekend for my friend Alexa's wedding! 

My Favorites from May

Favorite Dress- Dresses were my favorite things to purchase in May. I chose this dress as my favorite, but I absolutely love all 4 of the dresses I purchased in May. They're all so cute, classic, and affordable! My other 3 favorites are this classic blue dress, this off the shoulder ric rac dress, as well as this tie sleeve off the shoulder dress. Favorite Swimwear- I bought this sarong before I went to the beach for Kelly's wedding, and I LOVE it! I've always wanted to buy a turkish towel, but I didn't have enough time to order one. I found this sarong for $23, and it is PERFECT! My favorite part is that it has a designated place to tie it, so you don't have to figure out how to do that. I bought mine in white at Dillard's, and it is only available in black online at Dillard's. You can click here to find it in black and white at another retailer. Favorite Top- I have worn this tee multiple times. White shirts are a necessity for the summer, and this basic tee is such a good one. Cute, comfy, and affordable with the cutest eyelet sleeves! Other outfit details- shorts | sandals | earrings

Favorite Shorts- I don't buy shorts often because I am so picky about them, and I know I will not wear them if I do not feel comfortable in them. These are so comfortable while also cute and a little dressy. The ruffle adds such a fun touch too! Other outfit details- top

Favorite Shoes- My parents actually gave me these for my birthday last month, but they are making this month's favorites because I have been wearing them on repeat. April Favorites

I think I can say April has been the craziest, busiest, most fun, and celebratory month of my life! It started with Easter, then Ebie's wedding, then my 29th birthday, then my friend Kelly's bachelorette party in Orange Beach, then my 1 year blogiversary, then my friend Alexa's bachelorette party in Highlands, then my 3 year wedding anniversary, and my dad's birthday. Parker and I stayed home in Southaven this weekend, and it was SO nice to get caught up on life and spend a relaxing weekend with our pups!

But anyway, on to my favorites from April! I'm going to share my favorites first, and then I'm going to share my readers' favorites (based on my analytics)!

My Favorites!

Favorite Dress- My mom got me this dress for my birthday, and I actually wore it to the Florabama on my birthday when we were at the beach for my friend Kelly's bachelorette party! Love the color, ruffles, and tie. I don't always think wrap dresses are super flattering on me, but I do really like the fit of this one!

Favorite Top- I've been more of a dress girl this month, but this top is such a great basic to have in the closet. It comes in white, black, and yellow. I love the pretty eyelet!

Favorite Bottoms- Old Navy Rockstar jeans are some of my favorites, so I grabbed a fresh new white pair a couple of weeks ago. I recently found out that they came out with white Rockstar jeggings!!! I'm definitely going to have to grab a pair of these soon because they're selling out so fast- they are the most comfortable pants ever! Other outfit details- top | wedges

Favorite Coverup- Ebie gave her bridesmaids this coverup, and it is adorable! It comes in so many colors and is under $17!! Ebie's outfit details- bathing suit | sarong

Favorite Shoes 1- My mom gave me these before Ebie's wedding, and I have already gotten so much use out of them. I'm wearing them again this coming weekend for a wedding. They are the perfect heel height and neutral color!

Favorite Shoes 2- These yellow mules are a little different than what I typically wear, but I LOVE them! I have been so into yellow lately, and I think these add so much fun to any outfit! Other outfit details- dress

Favorite Beauty Product- One of my birthday gifts was a makeup lesson- so fun! I have a huge blog post coming soon where I am sharing all the things I learned. One thing the makeup artist continuously reinforced was the importance of eye cream. It helps with puffiness, application of underage concealer, and so many other things! Other outfit details- dress

March Favorites

I decided to change up my monthly favorites posts, and I'm pretty excited about it. I'm actually keeping the part about my favorites the same, but I'm adding a section that shares what my readers' favorites of the month have been! 

When I hung out with some of my best friends last weekend, they asked me to fill them in on how some things in the blogging world work. One question they asked was how I get credit from LIKEtoKNOW.it. When people click on links in my blog posts or in the LIKEtoKNOW.it app and purchase immediately, I will get a small commission. Favorite Dress 1- It was love at first sight with this dress. I actually tried it on at a blogger event in Memphis and walked out of the store wearing it! Love the blue and white stripes, smocked neckline, sleeves, and pockets! Runs a little big- I went with the medium because I liked the length better than the small, but there is extra fabric in the bottom part.

Favorite Dress 2- The colors of this dress are so pretty, and I love the classic style. It's the perfect dress for any event this spring! Runs true to size- I'm wearing a medium. Other outfit details: earrings | crossbody bag

Favorite Top- I shared this top in a picture on Instagram (paired with pink jeans), and it's fabulousness was not even done justice. I was ecstatic to find this because I know it is one of those things that I will get so much use out of. It is SO soft and a great length to wear with skinny jeans or leggings. I know it will be a closet staple for years to come! It is also currently on sale! I want to grab more colors! Other outfit details: white jeans | shoes | earrings

Favorite Shoes- I saw these at a store in Memphis called indigo, and they did not have my size. But they are SO cute! My mom actually ordered them for me for my birthday! The heel is not too high, so I think they will be the perfect shoe to wear to all the weddings and showers happening this spring and summer!

Favorite Accessory- I have been wearing these earrings a lot lately! They go with everything! Other outfit details: pink top (on sale!) | white jeans | crossbody bag

Favorite Beauty Product- I mentioned this in my makeup routine blog post. And after hearing so many bloggers rave about this concealer, I finally purchased it myself! Not only does it conceal, but it also brightens up the area under my eyes. I got it in the color Light Sand. 

Favorite Bottoms- This is going to be an obvious one because I devoted an entire blog post to these adorable white jeans! I won't say too much because you can click here to get all the details. February Favorites

I found a few things this month that I absolutely love. Some of them are so affordable that I had to buy multiple colors! Spring is my favorite season and spring clothes are my favorite clothes! I hope you love my February favorites as much as I do!

Favorite Dress- When I tried this dress on, I loved it so much that I had to get both colors! I bought an identical dress (but white) from Anthropologie last year, and it was $118. This dress is $24.99. It is such a steal, so I had to get the blue and dark gray. The ruffle sleeves are adorable! It does run big though. I sized down to a small.

Favorite Top- My mom actually got this tee for me a few months ago. I've loved it ever since she gave it to me because of how soft it is. And because of the length. However, it has been especially great to wear this month. Our weather has been so strange, and this tee has been the best layering tee. It's perfect to wear under cardigans and jackets when it's cooler out (because the sleeves are more fitted), but it's also not too hot when we have a warmer day!

Favorite Bottoms- I have been loving all of the scalloped details I've seen this season. When I saw these shorts, I had to get them! You can click here to check them out in solid colors. I tried on solid white and black pairs and thought they were adorable too! And the best part is that they are on major sale! They were originally $54.50, marked down to $27, plus an additional 20% off with code CANTSTOP. So they are currently $21.60!! I sized up to make them a little looser.

Favorite Shoes- Ebie got me these Marc Fisher wedges for Christmas, and they are going to be my uniform all spring and summer. They are an investment, but I know I will get tons of use out of them! I will have more about these must have wedges coming up in a blog post soon!

Favorite Accessory- I got my first pair of Lisi Lerch earrings for Valentine's Day, and I am in LOVE! They are so fun and make such a statement! They are really big, but they are lightweight. I wore them in Birmingham on Saturday, so I had them on for 8ish hours, and they were comfortable. My exact color is no longer available. January Favorites

How is today already the last day of January?! Time is flying! In today's post, I've rounded up my favorite products from the month of January!

Favorite Dress- My Lilly Pulitzer sale dresses came in last week, and I LOVE THEM! I'm SO excited to get to wear them this spring to all kinds of wedding festivities! 

Favorite Top- I tried this top on in black first, and I actually decided on the pink because the details are more visible. I shared it in yesterday's post because I think it is the perfect top to wear as we transition into spring! Other outfit details- white jeans | cross body bag

Favorite Accessory- I went into the Kendra Scott store one day while I was in Memphis, and I had to have this bracelet. I bought it and gave it to Parker to give me for Christmas. You can see it in the picture above. It matches my Kendra Scott necklace, and I think it is such a classic bracelet! 

Favorite Shoes- If these look familiar, it's because I shared them in Monday's blog post! Parker and I went to Jason's Deli on Saturday, which is close to Target... we were supposed to go to Kroger after lunch, but I convinced him that Swiffer refills are much cheaper at Target and we needed to stop by Target before we went to Kroger. :) I tried these on faster than I've ever tried anything on, and we were in and out of Target in less than 10 minutes. They run true to size and are under $35!

Favorite Bottoms- The only jeans I have worn for the past couple of years are Old Navy Rockstar jeans and jeggings. However, I heard really great things about Loft jeans and decided to give them a try when they were having a big sale. I am SO glad I did! I absolutely love the fit. The pair I got are midrise and so comfortable. I'm pretty picky when it comes to washes, and I love the color of these. I did have to size down 2 full sizes. This could have been a total ego boost had I not just tried on jeans at Anthropologie, where I still wore my regular size. So in my opinion, these run big, but they are the perfect fit when you size down! Other outfit details- thermal | booties (on sale!) | earrings

Favorite Beauty Product- I am so excited to share this with y'all! My go to lip product has been this Chanel Lip Color for a while now. My mom got it for me a couple of years ago, and it has been my favorite color to put on my lips ever since. The one problem is that it is pretty pricy. I discovered this NYX lipstick while I was at Target last weekend. It is obviously not as good as Chanel, but I am seriously impressed by it! The color is so pretty, and it goes on so smoothly. And the best part is that it is $6.99! I am wearing it in the photo below. Other outfit details- chambray tunic | leggings | boots

Favorites from September

Today I am sharing some of my favorite things from September! Most things are items that are very much my style. One item is something very different and new for me. Before you start reading my post, can you guess which item is a little out of my style comfort zone (based on the photo below)??

Favorite Dress- I have been watching this dress for months. So many bloggers have posted about it, and I don't know why I waited so long. It is now sold out in 5 colors, so if you want it, shop fast! I ordered the navy, and this color is now gone. However, the black is still in stock, and several other colors keep coming in and out as people return them. It is just one of those dresses that is really easy to throw on and go, which is my favorite kind! Other outfit details: Crossbody bag // Shoes

Favorite Outerwear- I purchased this during the big Lilly sale, and you can never be too sure about what exactly you're buying during the sale due to the adrenaline rush. However, I could not be happier with this purchase! The gold side buttons and fringe hem are so cute! It comes in 3 other colors, and I think the heather blue is so pretty. I put this in the outerwear category because it is considered a pullover. I love it! Other outfit details: Leggings // Boots

Favorite Top- This is another item I watched for a long time, and when it went on sale, my mom got it for herself and for me. I am so grateful! I actually have 2 posts coming up in the next couple of days all about this brand. It is my favorite brand of sweaters and other fall tops. You cannot go wrong buying anything they make! Longer tunic-like tops are my favorite because you can wear them with leggings, which is always nice and comfortable. Favorite Accessory- When my mom, my sister, and I were at Target last week, we saw these and had to get them! I got black and Ebie got hot pink. Statement earrings bring so much fun to an outfit! The black and pink are no longer available online. However, the periwinkle, coral, and gray are available, and they are on sale for $6.48! Amazing!

Favorite Shoes- I have been loving the A New Day line at Target. Have you checked it out? The prices are so reasonable, and the pieces are so cute! I couldn't pick just one pair of shoes, so I chose to share both of my newest shoe purchases!

1. Over the knee boots- I have been stalking Stuart Weitzman over the knee boots for quite some time, but spending $800 on a pair of boots is not something I would ever consider doing. Especially considering I am new to over the knee (OTK) boots and don't know exactly how often I will actually wear them (they're a little edgier than my typical style). I'm all for trying new things though, so when I spotted these dupes for under $40, of course I had to get them! 2. Leopard print booties- I have been all about leopard print lately! I was actually at Target looking for these bright pink mules that have been selling out like crazy. They didn't have those at my Target. However, they did have these leopard print booties in 2 sizes. The display just so happened to be my size, so I grabbed them for under $35! Favorite Bottoms- I have talked about my love for Old Navy Rockstar jeans and jeggings several times. They are basically the only jeans I wear. This season, they have introduced a new pair called the Rockstar 24/7. I have heard that these jeans were created from a collaboration with Old Navy and AG, so you know they have to be amazing! They are so comfortable that it doesn't even feel like you are wearing jeans when you wear these. They are not your typical denim material, so it honestly threw me off the first time I tried them on and I wasn't so sure about them. But I'm here to tell you- they are fabulous and the most super soft knit jeans you will ever wear! My mom has this pretty steele color, and I also love these black jeggings.
