My N Sale Purchases + Weekly Recap

My N Sale Purchases

Today is my last day to post about this amazing sale! If you haven't already, head to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale now and take advantage of it! I have posted the past two days about the best non-clothing and clothing deals. However, I've gotten several questions about the things I have bought and what I like best. I have mentioned what I have bought in my other posts, but today I will put them all in one place for you.

I am going to go ahead and apologize for including the pieces that are sold out. However, if you stalk the site long enough, many pieces eventually end up coming back in as people return their items. You have to hope and pray that the items you want come back in your size. I laughed SO hard yesterday when my mom sent me a text that said Nordstrom is giving her heart palpitations because of the risk of losing our great finds. I can relate all too well because I have been feeling the same way.

The last day to get these amazing markdowns is Sunday, and then prices go back up Monday. I hope you find some things you love! I wanted to put my purchases in order from most favorite to least favorite, and as hard as I've tried, I just can't do it. I have way too many favorites. So these items are in no particular order, but I do highly suggest ordering a pair of Zella leggings and Spanx faux fur leggings if you have not already!

1. Zella Live In High Waist Leggings

4. BP $12 Leggings- I'm still waiting on these to come in, so I don't have a picture yet.

5. Ruffle Sleeve T-shirt Dress- Bought this in pink and navy. I LOVE it. The fact that it is under $30 makes me love it even more.

6. BP Pocket TeeThis has been sold out the past couple days, but here is a direct link to it, and it will pop right up when it does come back in stock.

8. Free People Plaid Tunic- This is going to be on repeat all fall and winter. If you see it in stock, send me a text ASAP because I want to buy it in another color, and my mom wants it too!

10. Beachwaver- The Beachwaver included in the sale sold out yesterday. :( However, you can click here to check out one that is in stock if you're interested.

I am heading to Birmingham this weekend to see my best girl friends, and I am ecstatic! It's been way too long. Hope y'all have a great weekend and take advantage of the last of the N Sale! Thanks so much for reading!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Best Clothing Deals

As I have said every time I have posted about this sale, I cannot get over how crazy it is and how quickly things sell out. So if you see something you love, jump on it! The majority of the pieces I have chosen are basic staples for your wardrobe. The pieces I'm sharing today were in stock in at least some sizes yesterday, so I'm hoping they will still be in stock for you today!

I got 4 new things in yesterday! They all happened to come to our house minutes before Parker got home from work, so he was greeted by 4 massive boxes at the front door. Perfect timing, UPS man. Each box had one item in it. I'm thinking Nordstrom is beyond the point of caring about wasting box space. I cannot even imagine how much money they are making right now. I am happily contributing to their success because I cannot pass up a good deal, and these deals are almost too good to be true! I absolutely LOVE every single thing I have purchased. I'm sharing many of my items below.

Before I begin sharing the best clothing deals, here's one non clothing purchase that came in yesterday!!!!! I told y'all yesterday that my Beachwaver's ETA was August 14, so it was a huge surprise, and I am ecstatic to try it out!

The last day of the sale is Sunday, and prices go back up on Monday. As many times as I have said "this is my last order," there are a couple things I'm still hoping to snag before the sale ends. I hope you're getting some great deals too!

I'm starting this post with leggings because I have now gotten 5 pairs from the sale, and I love them all. If you're going to order one thing from the sale, I would suggest choosing your favorite leggings. You cannot go wrong with any of the ones I have linked up below and you will be so thankful to have them all fall and winter. I am for once excited Parker keeps it below freezing in our house because I am getting to wear my new leggings now!

Leggings

Spanx Faux Leather Leggings $64.90- Got these in yesterday, and I am OBSESSED. My mom thinks she is too old for these because they are faux leather, but I am telling y'all every female should own a pair. They are so amazing. And high waisted. And comfortable. When I think of Spanx, I don't typically think comfortable. These are. They suck you in, but not in a way that is uncomfortable. I can't say enough wonderful things about them. They have sold out several times but are now in stock, and I say run! Buy them! They will go back up to $98 on Monday. // Shoes //

I picked up this plaid Free People tunic during the sale, but it is currently sold out. Here is a similar plaid tunic for $31.90. I will update this post if the Free People one I'm wearing comes back in stock. Also, if you are truly just n…

I picked up this plaid Free People tunic during the sale, but it is currently sold out. Here is a similar plaid tunic for $31.90. I will update this post if the Free People one I'm wearing comes back in stock. Also, if you are truly just not into faux leather, but you love Spanx, check out the other Spanx deals from the sale because they so rarely get marked down!

Live In High Waist Leggings $35.90- I got my first pair of these Zella leggings during this sale, and they will most definitely not be my last. I LOVE them! They are so comfortable and flattering too. They can be worn to exercise in, but I will be wearing mine for everyday life. My mom and sister got a pair too. They are fabulous! // Sandals //

High Waist Crop Leggings $33.90- After buying the black leggings (above) by this brand, I now want ALL of their leggings. My size is sold out, but I highly suggest grabbing a pair if you want a great pair of high waisted cropped leggings!

Classic Leggings $11.90- I basically live in leggings, and I couldn't turn down this pair for $11.90. My mom ordered a pair for herself, my sister, and me yesterday! Thanks mama! Dad, are you reading this? Sorry! They're a really great deal! #poorskip

Seamed Moto Leggings $25.90- Bought these in olive, and I love them so much that I also have some black ones on the way! They are so comfortable and look more like pants than they do leggings. The lighting of this picture doesn't allow you to see all of the details. Click the link, so you can see better images of them.  // Shoes //

Dresses

Ruffle Sleeve T-shirt Dress $29.90- If you want this, buy it now. Save all your other items in your cart to your wishlist, and purchase this dress! It has sold out so many times and was restocked last night. My guess is that it is going to go fast again. I have it in this woodrose color and also have a navy one on the way. For $29.90, I considered buying all colors. The ruffle sleeves, pockets, and material make this dress so fabulous. // Shoes //

Ruffle Sleeve T-Shirt Dress #2 $29.90- This is an adorable ruffle sleeve t-shirt dress too! And only $29.90- amazing!

Jeans

rag & bone High Waist Skinny Ankle Jeans $131.90- These are on my long term wishlist. I hope to own them at some point in my life!

AG Ankle Skinny Jeans $149.90- AG makes my favorite designer jeans, and everyone has been ranting and raving about these jeans in particular. They'll go back up to $225 after the sale.

T-shirts

BP Pocket Tee $18.90- This long sleeve tee keeps going in and out of stock. If it is in stock in your size, get it! I have it in white and LOVE it. I will wear this soft oversized tee all fall and winter. // Shoes- 40% off // Leggings //

Long Sleeve Crewneck Tee $19.90- Another great long sleeve layering tee!

Rounded V-Neck Tee $17.90- Everybody's been loving the BP v-neck tee, and that one keeps selling out. I think this one is just as cute and comes in so many different colors.

BP Side Slit Tee $15.90- This is the tee everyone has been loving. Last time I checked, there were very few sizes left, but I'm leaving the link here in case people return theirs and it comes back in stock!

Blouses

Ruffle Bell Sleeve Blouse $31.90- I have talked about this top several times now. It's a classic and comes in several colors. // Shorts //

Ruffle Sleeve Blouse $31.90- I also love this one! I obviously love ruffles and fun sleeves!

Roll Tab Sleeve Shirt $27.90- My mom tried to buy this yesterday and it sold right out of her cart. If they have it in your size, buy it now!

Double Ruffle Sleeve Blouse $39.90- I think my love of ruffles is evident. This cute top can easily be worn now!

Cardigans

Long Open Front Cardigan $49.90- Long cardigans are all the rage this fall. This is a classic one.

Lightweight Rib Stitch Cardigan $31.90- This one keeps selling out and a couple sizes will come back in every once in a while. As soon as it comes back in stock in my size, I am ordering!

Barefoot Dreams Hooded Cardigan $75.90- This is that brand I was talking about yesterday. Apparently they make the softest cardigans, blankets, and robes in the world. Here is another cardigan they make in a different style. Please let me know if you have bought anything from this brand!

Pullovers/ Sweaters

Cozy Thermal Top $24.90- Want this! Looks like such a cozy layering piece.

BP V-Neck Pullover $24.90- This looks like a great basic sweater that would be something you wear on repeat.

Free People Split Back Turtleneck $44.90- My mom bought several of these last year, and they brought it back again this year. I love the pretty moss color.

Free People Pullover Sweater $64.90- Such a pretty, basic sweater! I love all 4 color options.

Tie Front Cozy Fleece Pullover $39.90- I'm loving the tie front trend right now! This looks super cozy.

Bell Sleeve Cozy Fleece Pullover $39.90- If tie front isn't your thing, check out the sleeves on this cozy fleece pullover!

Whew, that was a lot of info! Have you gotten anything yet? Please let me know! I am way too excited about my purchases and would love to hear about yours! Thanks so much for reading! Have a great day!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: 20 Best Non-Clothing Deals

I know I have talked about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale in several posts lately. However, I want to share the best deals you can get before it ends on August 6. We only have a few more days until the markdown prices go back up on August 7. Like I have mentioned before, this is my first year to take advantage of this sale, and I am now an avid proponent of it. I have loved stocking up on fall/winter basics that are majorly marked down. I've also bought a few other items that are not clothing- one splurge item and the rest are just really great deals!

My mom and I have tried to buy several items that have sold right out of our carts. My mind has been blown the past couple of weeks at how quickly items have sold out. Things have come back in stock from time to time. However, many of them sell out immediately. All this to say, if you see something you like, don't hesitate- buy fast. I have placed so many separate orders (thank goodness for free shipping!) because when something I have been waiting for comes back in stock, I purchase immediately. And then I'll go back to get the items that do not seem to be selling out as quickly.

Today I'm sharing the 20 best non-clothing items that are included in the sale. Tomorrow, I'll be back with the best clothes that are still in stock. I'm not going to name specific products I have bought today because several people reading this post might just be receiving them for Christmas. :) However, there are select beauty sets and other items that are only available during this sale, so now is an ideal time to stock up on gifts for the holidays or special occasions while prices are still so low.

Plush Throw $25.90- I think it's safe to say this blanket has been the most used item I have bought from the sale. Between Parker, Bailey, Rosie, and me... someone is using it at all times. It is so soft and pretty. I have considered stocking up and buying several of the vanilla colored ones for baby gifts. Then, all I would have to do is get them monogrammed, and I'd have cute gifts ready to go! It does come in several colors too.

Cozy Chic Throw $97.90- Have you ever bought anything that is by Barefoot Dreams? I cannot justify spending almost $100 on a throw, but I have seen bloggers who swear by this brand. They say the blankets, cardigans, and robes are the softest things you will ever touch, so they added to their Barefoot Dreams collections while this sale is going on.

Monogram Turkish Cotton Throw $41.90- I always love anything with a monogram, and this pretty neutral colored throw is no exception.

Blackout Window Panels $22.90- Parker and I are in need of some curtains for our living room, and I almost ordered these. The price is amazing, but if you look closely, there are some sparkly stars on them. I think they would be adorable for a child's bedroom or playroom though. They come in blush and navy.

Mac Brush Kit $49.50- No better time to buy new makeup brushes than when they are majorly marked down. This kit is a $162 value.

Mac Look in a Box (Pink toned or Neutral toned) $26.50- These each come with 2 lipsticks and 2 lipglasses. I've never tried a lipglass and am totally intrigued.

Bobbi Brown Eye and Cheek Palette $98- This makeup palette is packed with 12 eyeshadows, 2 full size blushes, and 2 full size bronzers. It is a $365 value. I love Bobbi Brown and am having a hard time not ordering this.

Necklace $37.90- LOVE this. It is a classic, beautiful necklace that can be worn daily. And it looks a lot more expensive than it actually is.

BP Geo Print Scarf $18.90- Scarves can spruce up any outfit. The colors of this one are so pretty.

Set of 4 Confetti Stemless Wine Glasses $25.90- I had a friend give me and the rest of her hostesses a set of 4 stemless wineglasses as hostess gifts a few years ago, and I still love them. These are too cute for your own house or for a gift.

Voluspa Candle Set $15.90- I love this brand of candles and think these would make such a cute gift!

Tory Burch Fragrance Set $130- Goodness knows I love all things Tory Burch, but I have never tried any of her fragrances. I bet this is amazing, and it's a $195 value.

Beachwaver $167- This was my splurge purchase of the sale, and I cannot wait much longer for it to come in. It is STILL backordered, but I will let y'all know what I think of it when it comes in on my sister's birthday, August 14. :) It will go back up to $250 once the sale is over, so I am super excited about this score.

Votivo Candle $21.90- My mom has always loved this brand of candles. Now's a good time to stock up while they're on sale.

Crossover Ring $35.90- This ring is so cute and fun! Love the crisscross.

Steve Madden Heels $73.90- If you are a heel wearer, these are so fun! I have seen several pictures of girls wearing them, and they look so cute!

Vince Camuto Booties $99.90- These come in 3 colors, and I love all of them. They will go back up to $149.95 after the sale.

Scalloped Ballet Flat $59.90- I love anything that is scalloped. These are such cute flats!

Ugg Slippers $79.90- It is so rare for Uggs to go on sale. My Ugg slippers that I've had for years are starting to get really worn out, and these look so cozy!

Tory Burch Handbag $349.90- I'm ending this list with my dream bag. It's definitely an investment piece, as most of her bags are, but it's absolutely gorgeous and will last a lifetime. Plus, it's originally $528, so it is definitely an amazing deal. I'll keep dreaming. I want to hear if you get it!

Have you purchased anything yet?! I'll be back tomorrow with the best clothing items that are still in stock! Thanks so much for reading! Have a great day!

A Cute, Affordable Summer Outfit

Whether you are going to be at the pool, beach, lake, or on any type of water, I have officially found the cutest pieces you will want to have! And you will see that the best part about every single thing I am sharing today is the price. By this point in the year, nobody really wants to pay too much for summer items. Most of these items are full price, but they are all super affordable.

Coverup // Sandals // Bathing Suit // Hat // Earrings // Sunscreen // Sunglasses

Coverup- Ever since my sister bought a pompom sarong, I have been on the hunt for something with pompoms. I found my something last week, and the best part is that it is (1 cent) under $20! :) Love the pompoms and style of this coverup!

Bathing Suit- I have not owned a one piece since I was on the swim team as a child. I honestly am not sure why. I have stuck with midkinis for the past couple years. I have this one and this one, and I absolutely love them. However, I discovered the bathing suit I'm wearing on clearance at Target a couple weeks ago and knew I had to have it. It looked like a Trina Turk dupe to me, and it was under $35. I haven't been able to find this exact one piece online. However, I have found some other really cute ones. Check them out: // 1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // And if you are a bikini girl, PLEASE buy this one that is marked down from $61 to $21 for the top. I am obsessed!

Sandals- I put these in yesterday's post as my favorite shoe for July- so cute and the price point is amazing! They are $25 dupes for this $70 pair! I'm wanting the tan pair now that is only sold online.

Hat- I'm usually not much of a hat girl, but sometimes you've just got to protect your skin from the sun and keep your hair out of your face on the boat. Plus, I really like the neutral colors of this one.

Sunscreen- This is the best spray sunscreen we have ever tried, so I wanted to share it with y'all. Sometimes spray sunscreens don't go on very well. This one sprays so smoothly and evenly onto your skin. Parker and I both love it. We love it more than any other spray sunscreen, and the good news is that it's less expensive than many options.

Have you found any summer pieces for bargain prices? I have been loving these Target bargain finds. Thanks so much for reading! Have a great day!

July Favorites

Check out some of my favorite things from the month of July! So many of these items are on sale- I get so excited about great deals!

Favorite Dress // Favorite Top // Favorite Bottoms // Favorite Shoe // Favorite Accessory // Favorite Painting

Favorite Dress- If you follow me on Instagram, you have already seen this dress several times because I love it so much! It pains me to say that I paid full price for my first one (the peach one). I say that to tell you that I have adored this dress from the very beginning. Once it went on sale, plus an additional 30% off, I bought the black. My mom now has both colors too- we love it! The sleeves and hemline are so cute and fun! It is such a classic dress that is very nice quality and will not go out of style. Anthropologie's sale has been going on for a while now, so I highly suggest buying it before the sale ends and while it's on sale plus an additional 40% off! And size down 1 size. My peach one is a size 6, and my black one is a size 4. I like the fit of the size 4 better. // Shoes // Sunglasses //

Favorite Top- I posted about this top on Friday because it was one of my Nordstrom Sale purchases. Love the ruffle bell sleeves, color, lightweight material, and price. For $31.90, I'm considering ordering a second one in a different color. I love how it can be worn now, and I don't have to wait until fall, which is the case for many Nordstrom Sale items.

Favorite Bottoms- I was so excited when I found these on sale plus an additional 50% off! The cute embroidery adds a fun twist to a white pair of shorts. Love the fit! For size reference, I'm wearing a medium.

Favorite Accessory- This crossbody bag went on major sale, and my mom treated me to it last week. :) She is the best and understands my love of shopping, or actually I believe she gave me my love of shopping. I am so grateful! Although I LOVE my grey crossbody, I am really excited to add this new one in to the rotation! I'm especially loving the pretty color and the gold hardware. It is currently marked down $99, so grab one while it's on sale if you're in the market for a cute new bag!

FullSizeRender 7 copy 2.jpg

Favorite Shoe- As soon as I saw these shoes, I knew I wanted them. Fortunately, I never bought the original pair because these dupes for $24.99 came out (Target does it again!), and they are identical to the original Steve Madden version that are $70. I bought the black pair, and I love them! I also love the tan ones. However, I believe the tan pair is only available online. The link will take you to the tan pair. If you are looking for black, just click the link, type in black pearl slides, and they should pop right up. For size reference, I did go down a half size. I typically wear 9s, and I bought 8.5s. // Leggings //

Favorite Painting- Have you seen my mom's newest art? I love her neutral collection. Someone bought the silver version of this painting, but I'm loving this gold one.

I hope you enjoyed checking out my favorite things from July! Do you see anything you like? Thanks so much for reading! Have a great day!

Nordstrom Sale Purchases + Weekly Recap

If you're looking for my big news, click here, or scroll down past my Nordstrom sale purchases, and you will find it!

Nordstrom Sale Purchases

Have y'all ever seen a sale as crazy as this Nordstrom one?! This is my first year actually paying attention to it because all of the bloggers I follow have talked about it nonstop. And I have finally learned the amazing steals you can get during this sale. Now that I understand it, I think it will be something I look forward to year after year. I mean how often do you get a chance to buy clothes that are extremely marked down for the following season!? Usually sales take place at the end of the season when retailers are trying to get rid of their leftover clothes. I have had so much fun shopping for fall items!

So far, I have gotten 5 of the 8 things I've ordered, so I'm sharing these items with you today! I've linked the Nordstrom sale items in bold words, and the other items that are not a part of the sale are linked in Italics.

Blanket- A beautiful, super soft throw for $25.90? Yes, please!

IMG_2506.JPG

Zella Leggings- I had never owned a pair of these, but every single blogger I follow said if you buy one thing from the sale, buy these. So these $35 leggings were the first thing I put in my cart. They are meant for exercise, but I plan on wearing them as my uniform this fall and winter. Several girls said they prefer these over their Lululemon leggings. They are so comfortable with the high waist, and now I want to buy every single style of this brand. I love the fit! // Pearl Slides //

Long Sleeve Tee- There are very few sizes left in this shirt, but if you see your size, I suggest you grab it now. It's such a nice, soft long sleeve t-shirt. Can't have too many of these for layering in the cooler months. The best part is that it's only $18.90! I'm hoping they restock it because I'm now wanting more colors, especially black. I turned sideways for this picture so that you can see how great the length is- love when shirts are long enough to cover my behind!

Moto Leggings- I am obsessed with these. They are comfortable leggings, but they look like edgy pants. The black came back in my size yesterday, and I put them in my cart so fast and tried to buy them immediately. However, by the time I got to checkout, someone else had already swooped in and bought them. I'm still hoping someone returns a pair and they come back in stock because these and the Zella leggings will be what you see me in all fall and winter. My mom bought the Zella leggings and these olive moto leggings too! They are both such good staples for fall and winter. Love them both! // Shoes //

Ruffle Bell Sleeve Top- Love all the details of this top. First of all, it was the very easiest thing to steam. The wrinkles came out within seconds. Second of all, those ruffles and bell sleeves and that color. And the fact that it's $31.90. And I love how I can wear it now with shorts! It's such a lightweight material that is perfect to wear right now. So many positives! // Shorts //

I also purchased these faux leather leggings, this oversized plaid tunic, and this beach waver. I CANNOT WAIT for them to come in!

Big News for Art Fashion Fun!

When I launched this blog on April 17, I had a few goals in mind, but for the most part, I was walking into new territory and didn't know exactly what to expect. I'm still new to this blogging world, considering I've only been in it for just over 3 months. But y'all, I am so thankful for you. Anytime anyone reads my posts, sends me a message, comments, likes, shares, or does anything in regards to what I am putting out there, I am beyond grateful. I notice and appreciate it all, but I have to give special shoutouts to Mrs. Carol, Ms. Elinor, Russ, and my mom- thank you for being the all-time best sharers. Because of you, I am connecting with people and reaching goals that I wouldn't have, so THANK YOU! Special thanks to my loyal photographer too. :)

rewardStyle/LIKEtoKNOW.it

Because of all of you, I have reached my first goal! I have been accepted to the rewardStyle team!!!! If you're not a fashion blogger, there's a chance you have no idea what this is. rewardStyle is the first invitation-only content monetization platform for top tier digital style influencers and brands around the world. (I got that info off of their website.) The part of rewardStyle that you might be familiar with is LIKEtoKNOW.it, which is rewardStyle's ready-to-shop platform that makes content actionable for millions of socially-inspired shoppers worldwide. So many of the fashion bloggers I have been following for years are a part of the rewardStyle team, and it makes me feel a little more like a real blogger now that I have been accepted. :)  There are around 11,000 people who are on this rewardStyle team, and I am so flattered to be one of them.

In a nutshell, rewardStyle is a platform that allows people to monetize and measure the influence of their content. LIKEtoKNOW.it makes it easy for people to shop images from Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, and across the web. And it takes people to the exact products that you are posting about. So, I will tag products in my Instagram pictures and LIKEtoKNOW.it will give you all the ready-to-shop details. You can get all these details through email and by downloading the LIKEtoKNOW.it app. When you screenshot or like a picture, you will get all of the details.

For a list of Frequently Asked Questions, click here. I have tried to explain the concept to Parker 100 times, and he is still confused. So hopefully reading those FAQs will take away any confusion you may have! I will be posting my first LIKEtoKNOW.it enabled picture on Instagram tonight (it will be the same picture I posted above- you know I had to choose an outfit with all of my favorite summer pieces), so if you like or screenshot it on Instagram, you will be able to get the ready to shop links delivered to your email or app. And you will also be able to see and shop popular items that other people on the rewardStyle team have posted! It is such a new and fun way to shop.

App or Email

I have had the LIKEtoKNOW.it app since it came out because I love seeing where other girls are finding their cute clothes, shoes, bags, jewelry, etc. Click here to download it. Plus, I like how everything is in one place with the app. I have my emails turned on, but I honestly don't read them. I prefer to shop the items in my app. You can go to your account, then into Email Preferences, and turn off all emails from LIKEtoKNOW.it. Or if you prefer to shop through your email, then keep them turned on!

Like or Screenshot

If you want to shop the items you see in pictures on Instagram, or if you just want to check out all of the details, you can "like" an Instagram photo or screenshot it. I typically use the like option, meaning I like pictures on Instagram of girls who are on the rewardStyle team, and then the pictures and details will pop up in the app. Plus, I know everyone appreciates likes on their photos, so it's a win-win situation! If you don't want to like pictures, then you can screenshot the pictures, and they will still pop up in your app with all of the details.

THANK YOU!

I cannot say thank you enough to all of you. I was so nervous and fearful when starting this blog. There was the fear of what people would think. Fear of failure. Fear of entering a whole new world that was so foreign to me. And y'all have been so unbelievably kind and wonderful. I have connected with so many people who I otherwise would not have, and I have loved every minute of this adventure. So thank you for your support! I am really excited about where this Art Fashion Fun journey is going.

Wednesday Wishlist: Special Items

When talking to my dad on our weekly Friday evening phone call, I mentioned Nordstrom's huge sale going on. Not like he loves to hear about shopping or sales whatsoever, but I was so excited that I was marking something off my special wishlist, that I had to tell him. He asked if this was an actual thing. Did I have an actual special wishlist? I think he was surprised to hear that I do. I am a very visual, organized, planner type person, so I do in fact have a Note in my phone for special wishlist items.

The item I was telling him about was the Beachwaver that I did end up ordering on Saturday. I have been wanting one for a while. I follow a few bloggers who have written such great reviews on it. Also, last time I got my hair cut, I was telling my hairdresser about how bad I am at using a curling iron and asked what she would suggest for my hair, and she immediately said she thought a beachwaver would work well with the type of hair I have. She then proceeded to try to sell me one, and goodness knows I was not raised to pay full price for a hair tool.

So when I saw it was included in the Nordstrom sale, I obsessively watched it. If Nordstrom's strategy is to show so many items as sold out or backordered to make us freak out and hurry super fast to buy the things that are in stock, their strategy is working on this girl. Several of the items I wanted were out of stock, and I saw that the Beachwaver was backordered, and I was so worried it would completely sell out, so I pulled the trigger. I bought it, and I am SO excited I did. I cannot wait for it to come in. Like I said, it is backordered, but I'll let you know how I feel about it when it does come in. And if my hair looks as fabulous as this girl's hair looks in the picture. Chances= slim to not possible.

Anyway, back to the list. The items on this list are not items I would buy for myself, unless there's a huge sale (and even then I wouldn't buy several items). However, if you are reading this Parker (he's not), I'll take anything on this list for Christmas, Labor Day, Halloween, or any other occasion.

I understand this list looks excessive, materialistic, and quite frankly insane. I don't expect this list to be all marked off anytime soon (or quite possibly ever). I had a sectional and beachwaver on this list for years, and I got to mark both of them off this year. I'm asking for a camera for Christmas, so hopefully I'll be able to mark 3 things off during 2017. Although how nice would it be to have an entire closet full of matching hangers??? That is a goal of mine.

A goal I have had for Art Fashion Fun was reached today, and I am SO excited to share the news with y'all tomorrow! So stay tuned!! I know you are all on the edge of your seats right now. :)

Anyway, am I the only one in the world who has a wishlist like this? Maybe you have special items in your head you would love to have, but you don't actually have a specific place where you write them? Surely it's not just me. :) Thanks for reading! Have a great day!

3 Shopping Apps that Save You Money

I shared my 3 Apps for Saving Money at the Grocery Store post a couple weeks ago, and today I'm back with 3 apps that save you money when shopping!

1. Rue La La

I used this in college and then didn't use it again for years. My mom and I started using it again a couple years ago and have found some fabulous deals. Rue La La sells designer brands for up to 80% off retail price. Click here to sign up. All you have to do is type in your email and create a password for login purposes, and then you are free to shop!

I like the app because of how easy it is to use, but I actually like just going to the website too because there is a section where you can look at all of the brands they sell. When you click on the word Brands on their website, you can look up any brand you want and see all the items in one place.

Some of my favorite brands they sell are Hutch, Julie Brown, Tory Burch, Jack Rogers, Alice + Olivia, Amanda Uprichard, Trina Turk, Free People, Kate Spade, Spanx, Camilyn Beth, and AG Jeans.  I have also found really great things for my dogs, as well as jewelry, here too. Check out the pictures below to see some of my purchases!

2. RetailMeNot

I learned about this app from another teacher when I was working at St. Joseph. It has saved me so many times. I hate buying anything full price at Hobby Lobby, Michael's, Bed Bath & Beyond, and other places like that because they always have coupons. Sometimes I accidentally forget my coupons at home. This app always saves the day. I pull up the app, type in the name of the store I need a coupon for, and voila! Parker and I have also used this app to find coupons when ordering pizza. #guilty

When digging deeper into this app to tell y'all about it, I found even more great features that it offers. It shows stores/malls that are around you, and you can click on them, and it will tell you all of the coupons that these stores offer. I just learned that J.Crew and Banana Republic are offering 15% off in stores for students and teachers! There are lots of coupons for stores and restaurants. Check it out!

3. Ebates

When I posted about the apps that save you money on groceries, someone commented and suggested that I try Ebates. I signed up, but I'm still pretty new to it. I know that you can get cash back from shopping. Definitely sounds like something I'd be interested in. Especially since there are coupons for lots of brands and stores that I like. I'll keep you posted once I get more familiar with it. And if you know more about it, please fill me in!

Do y'all know of any great shopping apps that I need? Please let me know! Thanks so much for reading! Have a great day!
