Weekend Sale Shopping: Anthropologie and Loft

Y’all know I’m not a frequent Sunday blog publisher, but I get them up when I feel like time sensitive matters need to be discussed. The shopping I did at Anthropologie and Loft this weekend needs to be discussed before the sales end, so here is a rare Sunday blog post!

I went to Memphis Friday because Anthropologie is offering 20% off and Loft is offering 40% off. The sales were even better than I expected! I’m trying not to do too much shopping while pregnant because I am having to buy sizes that are not my typical size, but I obviously need some things to wear this fall and winter! When I saw the emails sharing these 2 sales, I knew it was the perfect time to stock up!

Anthropologie- 20% off Clothing & Home

You have to be a part of Anthro Perks to get 20% off. It is as simple as giving them your email address and a little info about yourself. They will send you emails from time to time, but I don’t find it to be an excessive amount at all. It is not a credit card or anything like that. You don’t have to enter any billing info when signing up. If you are not already part of Anthro Perks, you can click here to sign up.

Now I’ll show you the 2 items I tried on, 2 items they brought back from last year, and a few more of my favorites below that. I had a gift card, so I also purchased these earrings. You are about to see them on repeat! They are the perfect size- not too big or too small.

Ribbed Tunic- I have had my eye on this tunic for months. It is a good price for Anthropologie and comes in 5 colors. I got it in pink, and my mom had it in blue and added the pink one to her collection while it’s on sale. I’d say it runs true to size. My mom stuck with her usual size, and I sized up one for the bump. The length makes it perfect to wear with leggings or skinny jeans.

Amrita Tunic- This was the other sweater I tried on. I did not purchase it because the slits in the sides do not lay right with my bump. If you are not pregnant, they should go where they are supposed to- on the sides. It is really soft and comes in 4 colors!

Leopard Cardi- I cannot tell you how excited I was to see that they brought this cardi back this year! I bought mine last year, and the print of this year’s version is a little more subtle than mine. But it is the same cardigan- definitely an investment, but it sells out fast! I shared it one time last year before it sold out, and it is already sold out this year in large. It is pricy, but if you like it, I suggest grabbing it now while it’s 20% off because it will sell out quickly again this year! It does run true to size. I got my regular size medium last year.

Bell-Sleeved Tunic- This is also a picture from last year, but this adorable “tunic” is back this year too. I’m not sure why they call it a tunic. It is definitely a dress on me. This year’s neckline is slightly different, but it looks very similar aside from that. It comes in 4 colors and would also look cute with leggings and boots or booties this fall!

Speckle Sweater- As soon as I saw this, I knew I had to have it. I had it in the turtleneck version last year and love the adorable rainbow speckles! As you can tell in the picture, they are not over the top, but just little speckles of color that are so cute! It also comes in navy if that’s more your style. I sized up one size for pregnancy, but I’d go with my regular size if I did not have a bump.

Speckled Poncho Sweater- Another item that comes in speckles, and it is also precious! These speckles are not rainbow colored though. They looked either black or navy to me. There is a lot of fabric on the sides because it is a poncho. I like my sweaters to be oversized, so I’d say stick with your usual size and it will still be plenty roomy.

Signaturesoft Cowl Neck Top- Anything in Lou & Grey’s signaturesoft collection is a winner in my book. It is truly the softest material in my closet. I purchased this top and got Parker to touch it when I got home. He said he wishes all of his clothes were made out of this material. The website says that it feels like the most luxurious cashmere combined with your favorite sweatshirt. It really is the softest! I sized up one size for pregnancy.

Signaturesoft Tunic Top- Another item from Lou & Grey’s signaturesoft collection… need I say more?! But really- the color is gorgeous, and it is such a great layering piece for fall. It is currently a steal too and comes in 5 colors!

Lilly Sale Day 2: Thoughts, What I Purchased, & What's Still in Stock

Y’all, I have never been so happy with a Lilly sale! It was the first time in Lilly sale history that their site hasn’t crashed on opening day! Go Lilly go! The variety of items they included in the sale was also amazing, and I got everything I put in my cart!

I published my blog post a little bit earlier yesterday than I typically do, so that we could be sure to click on that link and get our spot in line! So as soon as my post went live at 6:00, I shared it on Facebook and clicked the link to be taken to the virtual line. Once 7:00 hit, I was told my wait time was less than 1 minute on my laptop and 13 minutes on my phone. I clearly used my laptop!

Not only did the technology behind the sale and the great variety of items included in the sale work for me, but I also appreciated a change they made during this sale. For the first time ever, Lilly released all of the items included in the sale at one time. They usually continue to release new items over the course of the 3 day sale. But this time, they included all of the items in the sale as soon as it went live.

I think this helped items to stay in stock longer, and it made me personally not go crazy. I didn't (and don’t) have to worry about psychotically checking to see if new items were added because there will be no new releases. I love the things I got, and I don’t have to worry about something better coming along and stealing all of my money.

And speaking of money, Capital One sent Parker a text message asking him to confirm my Lilly purchase… he was well aware I was shopping the sale, but they went ahead and told him every cent I spent. This was not the first Lilly sale where this has happened. Capital One should know by now that there will be a Lilly charge twice a year, right?! This sale is too amazing to pass up!

What I Purchased

My mom and I both adored the silk dresses we purchased during the last Lilly sale, so we both knew that we wanted another silk dress if there was one included this time around. The dress of my dreams was included! And it is a totally reasonable price for the quality of the dress. We both purchased this dress, and we also both got the silk top version of the dress.

I also mentioned in a previous post that I would be on the lookout for comfy Lilly dresses. I have been living in them this summer while pregnant, and I absolutely love them while not pregnant too. They are so comfortable and easy to throw on and go, so I purchased 3 more to add to my collection!

The Lilly Pulitzer Sale Starts TODAY!

One of my favorite days of the year is here! The Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale day! The sale started today at 7 AM central time, so I published my blog post a little earlier than usual. This way, we could go ahead and click on the link below and secure our places in the virtual line!

EDITED- I got into the sale after about 1 minute of wait time! I placed an order, and I'm sure there will be at least one more order placed (possibly more- this is one of the best sales yet!). The adrenaline rush is real! I'm sharing what I purchased, as well as some of my favorite things included in the sale at the bottom of this post!

A few reminders:

-Once you click the link below, do not refresh or click out. If you do that, you will be kicked back to the end of the line and have to start over.

All You Need to Know About the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale

The Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale dates have bean announced, and I am ecstatic! This enormous sale happens twice a year, and these sales are always some of my favorite days of blogging. I LOVE chatting with y'all about what all you score and the amazing discounts that Lilly offers! Now, let's get into the details!

What is the sale?

Lilly Pulitzer rarely offers discounts, except for during their After Party Sale, which happens twice a year. During this sale, items are majorly discounted. Not just 20 or 30 or 40% off. Think bigger! Dresses can be scored for under $30! If you're familiar with Lilly prices, you know that is a steal!

When does it take place?

In store: September 8-9

Online: September 10-12

We have a Lilly store in Memphis, so I am going to try to get over there this weekend! That way I will have an idea of what is included in the sale, and I can share pictures of some of the best items included in the sale when my post goes live early Monday morning!

How can I prepare?

Create an account. By doing this, you will be ready to go when the sale goes live Monday morning! You can click here to create your account, or check to make sure all of your info is up to date if you already have an account. This is so important because items sell out SO fast during the sale. Items are not necessarily yours just because they are in your cart. You are not guaranteed an item until you check out. Having an account can save you time and beloved sale items when checking out!

Also, if you have Lilly items in your closet, check the sizes. Everything sold in the Lilly sale is final sale, so you obviously want to do your best to know what sizes to order!

What can I expect when the sale goes live?

Lilly Pulitzer uses a virtual line system. So come to my blog first thing Monday morning, click the direct link to be taken to the sale, and be prepared to wait in a virtual line. The earlier you click the link, the better. And the more devices you use, the better chances you have of getting in faster! I will be clicking the link from my phone and laptop. Last sale, I got in with my phone within a couple of minutes. However, I didn't get in with my laptop until over an hour after the sale had started.

The wait time can say crazy things. There are so many Lilly lovers trying to shop the sale at one time, so don't be alarmed if it says there are 47,932 people in line ahead of you and your wait time is 3 hours. It usually ends up going a lot faster than they predict! People probably get scared by the wait time and click out of the sale. Don't do this! Once you click into the sale, don't click out! When you click out, you will have to start your wait time completely over again. If you stay in there, your wait time will keep getting shorter and shorter until you make it in!

What will be included?

Last year, I had a friend say she had a couple of things in mind that she wanted to purchase from the sale. The things she wanted were newer items. Brand new Lilly items are typically not included in the sale. Lilly removes all of the items that will be included in the sale from their website a few days before the sale begins, so things that you see on their website now will most likely not be included in the sale.

However, there will be a huge variety of Lilly items included in the sale. I have personally purchased dresses, sweaters, tanks, Elsa tops, shirts, popovers, pajama pants, cardigans, shorts, skorts, beach coverups, beach bags, flip flops, and bathing suits. The deals are amazing!

What I'm Looking for:

Last year, I was on the lookout for nicer silk dresses because I had so many wedding festivities to attend. I purchased some beautiful ones. This year, I am looking for sweaters and comfortable dresses. Lilly Pulitzer dresses have been my number 1 favorite thing to wear while pregnant. They are stretchy, lightweight, and so comfortable. They are also a closet staple while not pregnant, so I know they will be a safe purchase to make!

The Best Time to Purchase Jeans for Fall

Happy Labor Day! Instead of posting my usual Tuesday post this week, I wanted to go ahead and get this post up today while you can take advantage of the sale prices! I love nothing more than being told someone is looking for something specific. My mom told me a couple of her friends were wanting to add some new jeans to their fall wardrobe, so I am SO happy to share my picks with you today! 

This request came at the perfect time too because I just went through all of my jeans on Saturday and decided what to keep and what to get rid of. My favorite brand of designer jeans is AG. However, I noticed that the pairs I kept the most of were actually my Old Navy Rockstar jeans and curvy jeans from Loft. In my opinion, they are the most comfortable and flattering jeans I own.

So today I'm going to share my favorite jeans from Loft that you can get for 40% off and my favorite jeans from Old Navy that you can get for 50% off plus an additional 10% off with code EXTRA.

Loft

The two options of jeans styles at Loft are curvy and modern. I discovered last year that the fit of the curvy jeans is my very favorite! They are stretchy which makes them very comfortable, but they don't stretch out. They are also higher waisted than the modern fit and very flattering. The website describes the curvy fit as contoured to flatter hips and thighs. Ummm yes please, I would like all of my jeans to do that!

The Best Labor Day Sales

Labor Day weekend is officially here, and Parker and I are staying in town this year. He had to go in to work at midnight this morning (yikes), and I'm just over here taking advantage of these sales. Sephora Sale Picks + New Makeup & Skincare Finds

In all honesty, makeup is not something I love to spend my money on. I prefer clothes. However, after a makeup lesson with a makeup artist (read all about that here) and seeing my mom's new products, I am ready to replace some of my products that I have had for way too long and add some fun new things to my collection.

And lucky for me, this desire to purchase new products couldn't have come at a better time! The Sephora sale started for Rouge members AKA people who spend $1000+ yearly at Sephora last week, and it just opened to VIBs (people who spend $350+ yearly) and Insiders (free- AKA me!) today!

To shop this sale, you just have to sign up for an Insider account. This is what I have. It is absolutely free. It's not a credit card or anything like that. They just send you emails from time to time and you earn points for any purchases made. I signed up one day when I was buying some mascara in store. The Nordstrom Sale is Open to Everyone + What to Buy

The day has finally come!!! The N Sale is open to everyone! There are so many amazing deals that it can be overwhelming. I totally got overwhelmed last year and purchased a couple of things that I didn't wear much. So this year, I made sure to only purchase items that I KNOW I will get a ton of use out of.

In today's post, I'm sharing closet essentials that you can get for a steal and totally get your money's worth out of! I've broken it down into categories- leggings, jeans, pullovers, shoes, basic tees, sweaters, and gift ideas. Also, items sell out SO fast. I bought them during the sale last year and have loved them more than any other pair of leggings I have ever owned! They are the best material, high waisted, and so flattering (they suck you in!)! Live In Lite Crop Leggings (now- $33.90, regular- $52) After loving the Zella leggings I purchased last year so much, I ordered these this year! And I also got Zella maternity leggings, but they are currently sold out. These cropped leggings actually came in the mail last night, and I am OBSESSED. They are so soft and all I want to wear! Zella leggings never go on sale, so grab them now to get the BEST leggings ever for a serious deal!

Spanx Faux Leather Leggings (now- $64.90, regular- $98)- I also purchased these during the sale last year. These leggings are SO flattering! I love pairing them with a tunic or sweater and boots for a cute and fun fall/winter look! If you are in between sizes, size up one size. Mine are a size large. BP Moto Leggings (now- $25.90, regular- $39)- I cannot believe how affordable these leggings are! I purchased mine last year, and they have one extra seam compared to this year's version. AG jeans are my favorite designer jeans and NEVER go on sale. I'm not getting a pair this year because I would need to order maternity, but if you are looking for a very nice pair of designer denim at a steal, you cannot go wrong with either AG pair I linked below. BP V-Neck Short Sleeve Tee (now- $11.90, regular- $17)- Now is the time to stock up on basic tees. This is such a great basic to have in your closet, especially for the price! I got the black one in my mailbox yesterday! I'll attach a mirror selfie here as soon as I can!

BP Scoop Neck Long Sleeve Tee (now- $18.90, regular- $29)- I ordered this tee in white, black, and olive last year. They are the softest tees and such a good closet staple! I sized up to a large for extra length.

Free People Rainbow Thermal (sale- $44.90, regular- $68)- I got mine last year and love it! It is the cutest thermal to wear as we transition to fall and into fall with jeans and boots. I usually wear medium in Free People, but I sized up to a large in this one to give it a little extra length.

I have gotten it monogrammed and given it as baby gifts and Christmas gifts, and basically every person in my family has at least 1. Amazon Prime Day Deals and Steals

Ok y'all, I expected the Nordstrom site to crash when the huge anniversary sale started last week. That happens every year. But Amazon?! I did not see that coming! I realize the deals are insane, and it is like the Black Friday of summer, but Amazon is HUGE and like king of all websites. Didn't expect it!

Amazon Prime Day started yesterday at 2 and crashed shortly after. However, after a few hours, it started working again. Although clearly it was working for some people because some items sold out immediately! The sale lasts through today, so hopefully we will still be able to take advantage of some of these deals!
