Lilly Sale Day 2: Thoughts, What I Purchased, & What's Still in Stock

Y’all, I have never been so happy with a Lilly sale! It was the first time in Lilly sale history that their site hasn’t crashed on opening day! Go Lilly go! The variety of items they included in the sale was also amazing, and I got everything I put in my cart!

I published my blog post a little bit earlier yesterday than I typically do, so that we could be sure to click on that link and get our spot in line! So as soon as my post went live at 6:00, I shared it on Facebook and clicked the link to be taken to the virtual line. Once 7:00 hit, I was told my wait time was less than 1 minute on my laptop and 13 minutes on my phone. I clearly used my laptop!

Not only did the technology behind the sale and the great variety of items included in the sale work for me, but I also appreciated a change they made during this sale. For the first time ever, Lilly released all of the items included in the sale at one time. They usually continue to release new items over the course of the 3 day sale. But this time, they included all of the items in the sale as soon as it went live.

I think this helped items to stay in stock longer, and it made me personally not go crazy. I didn't (and don’t) have to worry about psychotically checking to see if new items were added because there will be no new releases. I love the things I got, and I don’t have to worry about something better coming along and stealing all of my money.

And speaking of money, Capital One sent Parker a text message asking him to confirm my Lilly purchase… he was well aware I was shopping the sale, but they went ahead and told him every cent I spent. This was not the first Lilly sale where this has happened. Capital One should know by now that there will be a Lilly charge twice a year, right?! This sale is too amazing to pass up!

What I Purchased

My mom and I both adored the silk dresses we purchased during the last Lilly sale, so we both knew that we wanted another silk dress if there was one included this time around. The dress of my dreams was included! And it is a totally reasonable price for the quality of the dress. We both purchased this dress, and we also both got the silk top version of the dress.

I also mentioned in a previous post that I would be on the lookout for comfy Lilly dresses. I have been living in them this summer while pregnant, and I absolutely love them while not pregnant too. They are so comfortable and easy to throw on and go, so I purchased 3 more to add to my collection!

The Lilly Pulitzer Sale Starts TODAY!

One of my favorite days of the year is here! The Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale day! The sale started today at 7 AM central time, so I published my blog post a little earlier than usual. This way, we could go ahead and click on the link below and secure our places in the virtual line!

EDITED- I got into the sale after about 1 minute of wait time! I placed an order, and I'm sure there will be at least one more order placed (possibly more- this is one of the best sales yet!). The adrenaline rush is real! I'm sharing what I purchased, as well as some of my favorite things included in the sale at the bottom of this post!

A few reminders:

-Once you click the link below, do not refresh or click out. If you do that, you will be kicked back to the end of the line and have to start over.

-If you click the link below before 7:00 central time, it will say that they are preparing for the sale and to check back soon. Don't let this fool you! Don't click out! They are reserving your place in line by the time you clicked over to the Lilly site.

-Even if it says you are #639,482 in line once 7:00 hits, don't lose hope! The line typically moves faster than they predict thanks to the impatient people who see the wait time and leave the sale.

-Shop as quickly as you can! Just because something is in your cart does not mean it is yours. You must check out before an item is guaranteed to be yours. However, once you checkout, you have to start back over in line, so make sure you get everything you want while you are in the sale!

-However, if you do place multiple orders, no big deal because shipping is free during the sale!

-Everything is final sale, so make sure you love what you are purchasing! They are not adding new items to the sale like they have in the past. What you see on the site is what they are offering until it sells out in the blink of an eye!

All You Need to Know About the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale

The Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale dates have bean announced, and I am ecstatic! This enormous sale happens twice a year, and these sales are always some of my favorite days of blogging. I LOVE chatting with y'all about what all you score and the amazing discounts that Lilly offers! Now, let's get into the details!

What is the sale?

Lilly Pulitzer rarely offers discounts, except for during their After Party Sale, which happens twice a year. During this sale, items are majorly discounted. Not just 20 or 30 or 40% off. Think bigger! Dresses can be scored for under $30! If you're familiar with Lilly prices, you know that is a steal!

When does it take place?

In store: September 8-9

Online: September 10-12

We have a Lilly store in Memphis, so I am going to try to get over there this weekend! That way I will have an idea of what is included in the sale, and I can share pictures of some of the best items included in the sale when my post goes live early Monday morning!

How can I prepare?

Create an account. By doing this, you will be ready to go when the sale goes live Monday morning! You can click here to create your account, or check to make sure all of your info is up to date if you already have an account. This is so important because items sell out SO fast during the sale. Items are not necessarily yours just because they are in your cart. You are not guaranteed an item until you check out. Having an account can save you time and beloved sale items when checking out!

Also, if you have Lilly items in your closet, check the sizes. Everything sold in the Lilly sale is final sale, so you obviously want to do your best to know what sizes to order!

What can I expect when the sale goes live?

Lilly Pulitzer uses a virtual line system. So come to my blog first thing Monday morning, click the direct link to be taken to the sale, and be prepared to wait in a virtual line. The earlier you click the link, the better. And the more devices you use, the better chances you have of getting in faster! I will be clicking the link from my phone and laptop. Last sale, I got in with my phone within a couple of minutes. However, I didn't get in with my laptop until over an hour after the sale had started.

The wait time can say crazy things. There are so many Lilly lovers trying to shop the sale at one time, so don't be alarmed if it says there are 47,932 people in line ahead of you and your wait time is 3 hours. It usually ends up going a lot faster than they predict! People probably get scared by the wait time and click out of the sale. Don't do this! Once you click into the sale, don't click out! When you click out, you will have to start your wait time completely over again. If you stay in there, your wait time will keep getting shorter and shorter until you make it in!

What will be included?

Last year, I had a friend say she had a couple of things in mind that she wanted to purchase from the sale. The things she wanted were newer items. Brand new Lilly items are typically not included in the sale. Lilly removes all of the items that will be included in the sale from their website a few days before the sale begins, so things that you see on their website now will most likely not be included in the sale.

However, there will be a huge variety of Lilly items included in the sale. I have personally purchased dresses, sweaters, tanks, Elsa tops, shirts, popovers, pajama pants, cardigans, shorts, skorts, beach coverups, beach bags, flip flops, and bathing suits. The deals are amazing!

What I'm Looking for:

Last year, I was on the lookout for nicer silk dresses because I had so many wedding festivities to attend. I purchased some beautiful ones. This year, I am looking for sweaters and comfortable dresses. Lilly Pulitzer dresses have been my number 1 favorite thing to wear while pregnant. They are stretchy, lightweight, and so comfortable. They are also a closet staple while not pregnant, so I know they will be a safe purchase to make!

The Best Time to Purchase Jeans for Fall

Happy Labor Day! Instead of posting my usual Tuesday post this week, I wanted to go ahead and get this post up today while you can take advantage of the sale prices! I love nothing more than being told someone is looking for something specific. My mom told me a couple of her friends were wanting to add some new jeans to their fall wardrobe, so I am SO happy to share my picks with you today! 

This request came at the perfect time too because I just went through all of my jeans on Saturday and decided what to keep and what to get rid of. My favorite brand of designer jeans is AG. However, I noticed that the pairs I kept the most of were actually my Old Navy Rockstar jeans and curvy jeans from Loft. In my opinion, they are the most comfortable and flattering jeans I own.

So today I'm going to share my favorite jeans from Loft that you can get for 40% off and my favorite jeans from Old Navy that you can get for 50% off plus an additional 10% off with code EXTRA.

Loft

The two options of jeans styles at Loft are curvy and modern. I discovered last year that the fit of the curvy jeans is my very favorite! They are stretchy which makes them very comfortable, but they don't stretch out. They are also higher waisted than the modern fit and very flattering. The website describes the curvy fit as contoured to flatter hips and thighs. Ummm yes please, I would like all of my jeans to do that!

The Best Labor Day Sales

Labor Day weekend is officially here, and Parker and I are staying in town this year. He had to go in to work at midnight this morning (yikes), and I'm just over here taking advantage of these sales. Summer to Fall Transition Finds

It is that time of year right now where it's still super hot outside, but people are ready to start pulling out their fall clothes. I know I am! I am so ready for some cooler weather and all the things it brings- oversized sweaters, leggings, boots, football season, and all the fall things!

However, I got home to Mobile yesterday, and the weather is feeling nowhere close to fall-like. My travel OOTD (outfit of the day) consisted of some of my closet staples- this tunic, these leggings, and these running shoes.

But anyway, today I'm sharing a 10 Things Tuesday style blog post, even though it's Thursday. I researched all the newest arrivals at my favorite places to shop and narrowed my picks down to the following 10 items!

The Most Flattering, Comfortable, and Affordable Jeans for All Women

Whether shopping for white jeans for spring and summer or all the jeans for fall and winter, Rockstar jeans are the most flattering, comfortable, and affordable jeans you are going to find! I went as far as saying they are all these things for "all women" in the title because they now make them in maternity, plus size, and girls, in addition to straight sizes!

I have Rockstar jeans in black, white, grey, and various shades of blue. I'm here to tell you they are fabulous! I have been wearing them for the past couple of years, and now that I am 22 weeks pregnant (today!), Rockstar jeggings are the only type of jeans I currently feel comfortable wearing.

As far as sizing goes, I would go with your regular size unless expecting. I am currently wearing 1 size up from my regular size in jeggings. The band makes them the most comfortable! I have shared these fabulous jeans several times before and received so many messages about how great they are. A teacher friend of mine told me she had them in black and blue for casual Friday and she NEEDED them in white for spring and summer because no other jeans compare to the comfort level of Rockstar jeggings. The great news is that they now come in white!

Old Navy Try On Session

Y'all, I haven't done a try on session in so long! I realized yesterday that I haven't actually been clothes shopping in an actual store in so long. I had so much fun at Old Navy trying on so many adorable things.

I tried on everything from summer outfits to workwear to fall looks, as well as athleisure. However, I did not end up purchasing anything in store because they told me they would not price match their website, which offers much less expensive prices than the store. I will be ordering quite a few of the things I tried on though!

There are some amazing pieces, but the comfy clothes were my favorite. I have been living in leggings and pullovers lately, and that is what I was most drawn to. However, I also really loved the fall looks. I got so many of my teacher clothes from Old Navy, so I styled some workwear looks that would be perfect for teachers or office jobs or really just everyday life! The Perfect Pink Top to Wear Now and this Fall

Hey Y'all! I feel like I am finally getting back into a routine! After finding out we're having a baby and the symptoms that go along with it, a vacation at the beach, the craziness of the N Sale then Amazon Prime Day, and a vacation at the lake, my blogging days have become so inconsistent this summer. However, I am so happy to be back today, and I will be more consistent with my Tuesday and Thursday posts from here on out!

Before I get started with today's post, I have to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY EBIE! My little sis turns 27 today! She has tried to say 27 isn't a big deal, but Patrick gave her a baby puppy this year, so that def brings the fun to 27! And I personally think every birthday is exciting! I will be home in 8 days and can't wait to continue her celebration then! And meet Sophie for the first time!!!!

Ok, onto the top I want to share with you today. I purchased this cute pink top back in June and have gotten so much use out of it! It is the perfect lightweight material to wear comfortably now, and it will also be the perfect top to wear as we transition to fall. I styled it with white shorts and blue jeans to show you that it works both ways! I also think it would be a really cute work top paired with black pants, white pants, or white jeans if you can wear jeans to work.

The sleeves are my favorite part! They are so pretty! And it runs true to size. I am wearing my usual size medium. It is the perfect length to tuck in or wear untucked, whichever you prefer. And it comes in 3 colors- pink, red, and black.

I haven't blogged about it yet because it sells out so fast! Nordstrom has restocked it several times, and it consistently sells out. If you like it, I hope you can grab your size!
