Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Finds that are Still Available

If you have shopped the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, then you have most likely noticed that things sold out FAST! In the past, Nordstrom has restocked items before the sale went live to the public. They did not do that this year for whatever reason, but there are some great items that are still available in the sale. And there are still a few items that I am clicking on multiple times throughout the day to see if returns are made and they do get restocked.

Most of the items that sold out were women's clothing and shoes. There are still tons of amazing home and beauty products that are in stock, and there are still some great shoes and clothing options too. I'm sharing all of these with you today! Some of my favorite picks are in the collage below, and there are a ton more linked at the bottom of this post! I don't know how I missed this ruffle coat until yesterday, but it is GORGEOUS! I also missed this beautiful dress until my mom texted me about it the other day and told me that Us magazine chose it as their favorite dress of the N Sale!

The grey sweater I linked comes in 6 colors and would be perfect to wear with leggings or skinny jeans when it cools down. And I think the blue top pictured above would be perfect for work. It comes in multiple colors too.

I can't suggest the bottoms I included in the collage more. I have talked about my love for Zella leggings countless times, and Spanx leggings are a great investment too (especially while they are marked down!). Zella cropped leggings and Zella maternity leggings are two items I check out everyday to see if they're back in stock. I purchased both of those things during Early Access, and I am hoping so hard they get restocked before the sale is over!

I need some no show socks to wear with my pink Adidas running shoes, so I included these. My mom told me she got them and loves them!

I have basically been living in the outfit pictured above. This pullover is SO comfy and the perfect length to wear with leggings! And you already know about my love for these Zella leggings and pink Adidias running shoes.

The Nordstrom Sale is Open to Everyone + What to Buy

The day has finally come!!! The N Sale is open to everyone! There are so many amazing deals that it can be overwhelming. I totally got overwhelmed last year and purchased a couple of things that I didn't wear much. So this year, I made sure to only purchase items that I KNOW I will get a ton of use out of.

In today's post, I'm sharing closet essentials that you can get for a steal and totally get your money's worth out of! I've broken it down into categories- leggings, jeans, pullovers, shoes, basic tees, sweaters, and gift ideas. Also, items sell out SO fast. If you see something you absolutely love, put it in your cart and check out to make sure you get it and then continue shopping... this is not wasteful thanks to free shipping and free returns at Nordstrom! Happy shopping!!!

Live In High Waist Leggings (now- $35.90, regular- $54)- The NUMER 1 thing I suggest ordering! The best leggings you will ever own! I bought them during the sale last year and have loved them more than any other pair of leggings I have ever owned! They are the best material, high waisted, and so flattering (they suck you in!)! They can be worn for exercise or everyday life. (Pullover // Running Shoes)

Live In Lite Crop Leggings (now- $33.90, regular- $52) After loving the Zella leggings I purchased last year so much, I ordered these this year! And I also got Zella maternity leggings, but they are currently sold out. These cropped leggings actually came in the mail last night, and I am OBSESSED. They are so soft and all I want to wear! Zella leggings never go on sale, so grab them now to get the BEST leggings ever for a serious deal!

Spanx Faux Leather Leggings (now- $64.90, regular- $98)- I also purchased these during the sale last year. These leggings are SO flattering! I love pairing them with a tunic or sweater and boots for a cute and fun fall/winter look! If you are in between sizes, size up one size. Mine are a size large. Also, they are almost sold out at Nordstrom. However, they are the same price at Bloomingdale's, so click here to check them out there! (Tunic)

BP Moto Leggings (now- $25.90, regular- $39)- I cannot believe how affordable these leggings are! I purchased mine last year, and they have one extra seam compared to this year's version. But they are so cute and fun! Perfect way to add a little something extra to an outfit while still remaining super comfortable. (Tunic)

AG jeans are my favorite designer jeans and NEVER go on sale. I'm not getting a pair this year because I would need to order maternity, but if you are looking for a very nice pair of designer denim at a steal, you cannot go wrong with either AG pair I linked below. Nordstrom suggests sizing down 1 size, but I actually sized up one size to a large because I like pullovers to be plenty roomy. And the large gave it a little extra length, so that I can wear it with leggings (which will be my uniform for life)! Mine is the color charcoal. One more perk- pockets!

Make + Model Hoodie (now- $31.90, regular- $49)- I ordered this in green lilly yesterday! It looks like something I would wear with leggings and live in. Uniform #2!

Adidas Running Shoes (now- $63.90, regular- $85)- These are such a steal for Adidas running shoes, and I LOVE them! They are the prettiest color and make you feel like you're walking on clouds! I got my usual size 9, and they fit great. / Running Shoes)

Hunter Original Tall Rain Boots (now- $99.90, regular- $150)- Under $100 for Hunter boots= winning!

Free People January Tee (now- $31.90, regular- $48)- Free People for under $32- yes please! The length is perfect to wear with leggings, and the material is so soft! I got my regular size medium because although there is a lot of fabric, the sleeves are more fitted.

BP V-Neck Short Sleeve Tee (now- $11.90, regular- $17)- Now is the time to stock up on basic tees. This is such a great basic to have in your closet, especially for the price! I got the black one in my mailbox yesterday! I'll attach a mirror selfie here as soon as I can!

BP Scoop Neck Long Sleeve Tee (now- $18.90, regular- $29)- I ordered this tee in white, black, and olive last year. They are the softest tees and such a good closet staple! I sized up to a large for extra length.

Sweaters

Gibson Cozy Fleece Tunic (now- $39.90, regular- $60)

Free People Rainbow Thermal (sale- $44.90, regular- $68)- I got mine last year and love it! It is the cutest thermal to wear as we transition to fall and into fall with jeans and boots. I usually wear medium in Free People, but I sized up to a large in this one to give it a little extra length.

Gift Ideas

Bliss Plush Throw (now- $25.90, regular- $39.50)- I can never say enough good things about this blanket. I have gotten it monogrammed and given it as baby gifts and Christmas gifts, and basically every person in my family has at least 1. We need more than 1 in our household because Parker, Bailey, Rosie, and I are always fighting over ours. You just can't beat the price for the quality. I highly suggest stocking up your gift closet with this soft throw!

Votivo Candle (sale- $21.90, regular- $28)- Such a good gift to have on hand!

My N Sale Purchases

Y'all, yesterday was the most insane day! Did you get to shop? Because of all of Nordstrom's site issues, they are giving us 10 times the points on all of our purchases made yesterday! I was already using my triple points day... kinda wish I would have saved that now, but oh well. I'll take 10 times the points any ole day!

I placed several orders throughout the day, and I'm sharing what all I got with you today! 1 or 2 of these items are already sold out (of course), but some are great basics that are still in stock! You can click on the items in the collage below to be taken directly to the site.

Wubby Fleece Pullover- This was the first item I purchased yesterday morning around 3 AM! My mom also purchased this. She was deciding between sizes, and the one she ended up wanting sold right out of her cart. Hurry fast if you want this! It is in high demand, and it is going to be what I live in with leggings while I'm at home in our freezing cold house! 

Side Tie Tunic Top- If you don't have a Nordstrom card and you like this top, you are in luck! It is not a part of the N Sale, so you can still order it without having a card! And it is currently 40% off! My mom and I both ordered it in white, and we also want the yellow and gray. I think this looks like the perfect comfy but cute top I will wear on repeat all fall! Love the length and ties on the sides!

BP $12 Tees- This is one of those great basic tees I want in every color! I checked out my vneck shirt situation in my closet and realized I have 100 white vneck tees, but no black ones. So I ordered a black one and would like one of each of the other 8 colors. Such an amazing price!

J.Crew Ruffle Sleeve Tee- I somehow missed this tee when I was psychotically linking all of my favorite things for y'all in the wee hours of the morning yesterday. However, my mom sent a picture of her order to me, and I immediately added this to my cart. We both got this cute ruffle sleeve tee! It sold out at J.Crew at one point, so I'm extra excited Nordstrom included it in their big sale!

City Check Shirt- I loved this as soon as I saw it. Unfortunately, it is almost sold out. However, I'll leave the link here in case it gets restocked!

White Button Up Shirt- I didn't think much of this shirt until I saw it on another blogger. It looked like such a cute, classic, and versatile top. I think it will be one of those easy tops to throw on with a pair of leggings and riding boots and feel put together!

Zella Live In Crop Leggings- I purchased the Zella Live In High Waist Leggings last year, and I loved them so much that I got the cropped pair during the sale this year! 

Zella Live In Maternity Leggings- I told y'all... I adore Zella leggings so much that I made my first maternity purchase! I don't know how maternity clothes run, and I don't have a clue what size I'll need in these, so I ordered my regular size medium and a size large. I originally planned on sending one back, but now I'm thinking I could use the medium this fall and the large closer to our due date... I might just keep both! 

Adidas Running Shoes- I needed a solid pair of running shoes, and I think this corally color is SO cute and fun! They also come in grey if this color is a little too bright for you. :)

Halogen Seamless Bra- I have been looking for a comfy bra that feels like a sports bra but has straps that go straight back. This fits that description perfectly, and it's under $12!

Zella Sports Bra- I also wanted another comfy sports bra. All of mine are from Target and Old Navy, and I love them, but I wanted to try a Zella one!

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Starts Today!

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale started at 2 am this morning, and I have been up since around that time getting this blog post ready for you! I learned last year just how big of a deal this sale is, so I hope I can be the best resource for you this year!

Early Access starts today. What that means is Nordstrom cardholders can begin shopping the sale. If you do not have a Nordstrom credit card, then you can still check everything out, but you will not be able to purchase items at the sale prices until the sale goes live to the public on July 20.

I got a Nordstrom credit card last month for the sole purpose of this sale because the deals are outstanding, which means things sell out FAST! Nordstrom has free shipping and returns, so you can place as many orders as you want without having to worry about that. With that said, if you see something you like, purchase immediately! I missed out on quite a few of my favorite things last year, so I made sure to purchase quickly this morning! If you don't have a credit card and want to shop today, you still can get approved today! Last thing before I get into my sale picks- the things included in this sale are mostly brand new fall items. I know it's kinda hard to think about sweaters and boots when it is still so hot outside, but it is the best time to buy these items because some of them will never be restocked and some of them will never be put back on sale again. I know I'm excited to stock up my closet with brand new fall staples while they are on sale!

My Favorite Items in the Sale

In this section, I'm sharing the best basic pieces that I purchased last year and LOVED or have purchased today! This sale can be overwhelming, but I try my best to only purchase the best basic pieces that I know I will get a lot of use out of!

Thread & Supply Wubby Fleece Pullover (sale: $51.90, regular: $78)- This was the first thing I put in my cart! I saw so many bloggers with this soft fleece pullover last year, and I wanted it so badly! It sold out so many times, but I was finally able to order my own today! I got it in the color charcoal. Nordstrom suggests sizing down one size because it runs large. I like things like this to fit oversized (and I know I will be growing), so I sized up to a large.

Zella Leggings (sale: $35.90, regular: $54)- I got these last year, and they were my most worn item that I purchased from the sale BY FAR! The most comfortable and only leggings I want to wear! They can be worn for exercise or with regular everyday clothes. If you are just purchasing one thing from the sale this year, I suggest these! Spanx Faux Leather Leggings (sale: $72.90, regular: $110)- I also got these last year and love them! They are SO flattering! If you are in between sizes, I would size up.

AG Skinny Jeans (sale: $149.90, regular: $225)- AG makes my favorite designer jeans. If you are going to splurge on a pair of jeans, I highly suggest these! The fit is fabulous, and they are so comfortable too! The Farrah is another style that I love.

Plush Throw (sale: $25.90, regular: $39.50)- the softest and highest quality blanket you will ever find for this price! It comes in 17 colors! Outfit Ideas for the Fourth of July

This post is a little last minute, especially since Parker and I are heading to the beach for the 4th today, but I wanted to share this because the 4th of July is one of my very favorite holidays! Parker and I got engaged on the 4th of July 4 years ago! And I always enjoy the family, fun, food, and sun that comes with this holiday! 

Blue and white are 2 of my favorite colors to wear, and a full on festive outfit is achieved by throwing in a red accessory or two! I have broken this post down into 2 parts. Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018

Hey Y'all! I am so sorry I have been so MIA over here on the blog. February through June have been crazy busy and full of so much travel. And fun too! We're actually leaving again Thursday to go to the beach for the Fourth of July, but then we will be home for the rest of July. Thank goodness because there is lots of blogging that needs to be done! I have some fun posts in the works, but today I am going to tell you all about Nordstrom's biggest sale of the year!

What is it?

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is Nordstrom's biggest sale that happens once a year during the summer. It is so different from other sales because the items included are brand new fall items. Most typical sales include items that are from the previous season and have been seen over and over again. The N Sale, which it's frequently called, includes brand new fall merchandise that is up to 50% off! 

Down south, it is obviously still very hot during the summer months (and into the fall months), but this is the best time to stock up on fall and winter items because they will be so highly discounted!

When is it?

-July 12, 12:01 AM Pacific: Early Access available to all Nordstrom cardholders

-July 20, 12:01 AM Pacific: The Nordstrom sale is open to everyone

-August 5, 11:59 PM Pacific: The Nordstrom sale ends and items return to their normal prices

How do I get Early Access?

You have to be a Nordstrom credit card holder to get early access. I did not have a Nordstrom card during the sale last year, which means I had to wait for public access to begin a full week after early access. Because of the enormity of this sale, things sell out FAST, like faster than any other sale I've ever seen. This made the full week I had to wait seem like an eternity!

In all honesty, until yesterday, I had one Visa credit card and zero credit cards from any store or anywhere else. After last year, I knew I had to get a Nordstrom credit card for the sole purpose of getting Early Access to this year's N Sale. So, I made it happen yesterday, and I now have two credit cards- Visa and Nordstrom. And this year, I will not have to psychotically stalk that Free People top I am dying for or that pair of Spanx leggings that I must have for fall. Because I have a Nordstrom credit card, I will get to snag my favorite things during early access before they all sell out!

You can click here to apply for a Nordstrom credit card. It is really simple and quick. In case you were wondering, there are no perks for me if you sign up through that link. Just benefits for you- like Early Access to the sale and Nordstrom Notes (which are basically gift cards Nordstrom sends you once you reach a certain amount of points- you earn 2 points for every $1 spent at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, Hautelook, and Trunk Club). You also get a bonus note when you spend $100 the day you get approved for your credit card. Because I got approved yesterday, I obviously had to make a purchase. :) I ordered this swimsuit and this top.

What will be included?

As I mentioned, brand new fall merchandise will be included in the sale. Nordstrom just released the online catalog for the sale yesterday, so you can click here to browse through it. It does not include anywhere close to all of the items that will be a part of the sale. There will be amazing clothing, purses, shoes (the best time to stock up on fall boots and booties), makeup, hair products, things for the home, etc.! 

Some of my favorite things to stock up on are basics that I know I will wear all fall and winter. The 3 items that I have gotten the most use out of from last year's sale are Zella leggings, Spanx faux leather leggings, and this blanket. Final Thoughts

Because the closest Nordstrom is hours away, I will be shopping online. But the sale can be shopped in store and online. I will have multiple blog posts about the sale during the July 12- August 5 sale window. If you have a Nordstrom credit card, be sure to check out my post on July 12 for early access! And if you don't have a Nordstrom credit card, you will still be able to check out the things that are included in the sale. The One Pair of Heels Every Girl Needs in her Closet

Heels are not something I wear often, but goodness knows they are a closet staple that are necessary when a dressy occasion arises. There were more heel occasions for me this spring than I can ever remember happening in such a short period of time. My mom got me the heels I'm talking about today as a birthday gift, and I have most definitely already gotten her money's worth out of them.

These Sam Edelman heels are block heels and the best height (3 inches to be exact). They're not too low, and they're not too high. The block heel and height make them comfortable enough to wear all night long. The scalloped strap is my favorite part. It gives these classic sandals a little element of fun. And they run true to size. I got my regular size, size 9.

Dress in black | Heels | Monogrammed Clutch

The color I have is called classic nude leather. My mom got them in blush gold leather. The classic nude leather is selling out, but they come in several other colors that I will share below.

-At Nordstrom, you can find them in black leather, blush gold leather, classic nude leather (selling out), black suede, golden caramel suede (also selling out), and pink lemonade suede.  

-On Sam Edelman's website, you can find them in blush gold leather, nude leopard leather, black suede, camel suede, and true pink suede.

-On Dillard's website, you can find them in gold leather and blush leather. And also black suede and sun glow yellow suede.

Dress | Heels

I try to steer clear of the word need when it comes to fashion. We need food and water. We don't actually need that 14th sundress that we have our eye on. However, I do think a classic heel is a necessary item to have in our closets. There's nothing worse than having to go search for something the day of an event to find absolutely nothing. This classic Sam Edelman heel will be a closet staple that I know I will be grateful for time and time again!

100 Picks for Under $100 from the Nordstrom Sale

The Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale is coming to an end on June 3, and they have added more items to the sale that are SO GOOD! I have browsed dozens and dozens of pages on Nordstrom's website to choose my top 100 picks under $100. Most of these items are significantly under $100, but there are some fabulous markdowns of items (like Marc Fisher wedges) that are right under $100.

One of my favorite new markdowns is these Jack Rogers sandals. I live in them all spring and summer, and they are on sale in 5 colors! Platinum is always my favorite choice because I find that it goes with everything. I also have the gold pair and sparkly silver. I clearly love them! If I purchased one pair, it would be the bone color because I don't have any sandals that color, and I feel like they would go with everything too! They're being price matched, so no telling how long they will stay on sale. Scoop them up quickly if you've been wanting a pair! 

My dress is not from Nordstrom, but it is $29.99 and was just restocked! It runs large. I am wearing an XS because that's the only size they had in the store. I would have preferred to size down 1 size to a small!

One of my other favorite new additions to the sale is this ruffle dress. I have it in yellow and LOVE it! My mom actually purchased it in yellow too. The one that is on sale is olive green, and it is starting to sell out. My mom and I both found that it ran a little small, so we both sized up one size.

I posted this tunic on Instagram the other day and got a few questions about it. It is such a great closet staple! I have it in white and black and wear it year round. I found that it runs true to size. I am wearing my regular size medium. Nordstrom suggests sizing down one size if you're in between sizes. I like clothes like this to be plenty long and roomy, so I went with my regular size. This allows me to wear this tunic with leggings in the fall and winter!

Parker and I were both in 2 of our best friends' weddings the first weekend of May, and then we spent the rest of the month at home! It was nice to have some down time, but now we are rested and excited to head to Atlanta this weekend for my friend Alexa's wedding! 

My Favorites from May

Favorite Dress- Dresses were my favorite things to purchase in May. I chose this dress as my favorite, but I absolutely love all 4 of the dresses I purchased in May. They're all so cute, classic, and affordable! My other 3 favorites are this classic blue dress, this off the shoulder ric rac dress, as well as this tie sleeve off the shoulder dress. Favorite Swimwear- I bought this sarong before I went to the beach for Kelly's wedding, and I LOVE it! I've always wanted to buy a turkish towel, but I didn't have enough time to order one. I found this sarong for $23, and it is PERFECT! My favorite part is that it has a designated place to tie it, so you don't have to figure out how to do that. I bought mine in white at Dillard's, and it is only available in black online at Dillard's. You can click here to find it in black and white at another retailer. Favorite Top- I have worn this tee multiple times. White shirts are a necessity for the summer, and this basic tee is such a good one. Cute, comfy, and affordable with the cutest eyelet sleeves! Other outfit details- shorts | sandals | earrings

Favorite Shorts- I don't buy shorts often because I am so picky about them, and I know I will not wear them if I do not feel comfortable in them. These are so comfortable while also cute and a little dressy. The ruffle adds such a fun touch too! Other outfit details- top

Favorite Shoes- My parents actually gave me these for my birthday last month, but they are making this month's favorites because I have been wearing them on repeat. My First Experience with Red Dress Boutique

Are there any stores where you have always wanted to shop, but you just haven't gotten around to making it happen? Red Dress Boutique was one of those stores for me until I finally made my first purchase last week. I had heard great things about it, checked out the website on multiple occasions, really appreciated the prices, but for one reason or another, I never actually placed an order.

Well, after receiving my first order, I have decided to add Red Dress Boutique to the places I frequently shop list. I did this right before I placed my order. The email with my 10% off code came in less than 5 minutes after I submitted my email, so I was able to use that discount code immediately on my first order!

What I Ordered:

Light Blue Ruffle Sleeve Dress- The material of this dress is so comfy and easy to steam. The ruffle sleeves are absolutely adorable, and I love the pretty color. It comes in black and white too. It looks like it should cost SO much more than it actually does. For some reason, I was thinking these clothes might run small, so I sized up from my regular medium to a large in this dress. Turns out the things I ordered run pretty true to size, and I could have gone with a medium. However, the large works too and gave this dress a little more length.

Off the Shoulder Dress with Ribbon Detailing- This is one of those dresses that is so easy to throw on and go AKA exactly what I live in during the summer time. I love off the shoulder dresses, and this one stays put so I know I won't have to be tugging on it constantly. It has the cutest double ruffle sleeves. and I love the red, yellow, and blue ribbon detailing. This dress is lined, so it is not in the least bit see through. It is 100% cotton, and I found it to run a little big. I ordered a medium (which is my regular size), and it is a little big on me. I would ALWAYS rather something be too big than too small though. I wore it to get Mexican with Parker, and it was perfect. :)

Coral Ruffle Trim Sleeve Dress- The material of this dress is the same as the blue one I shared above. The dresses are pretty similar, but this one has short sleeves and a v-back. I got a medium in this one and think it fits true to size. It can easily be dressed up or dressed down. I paired it with my Jack Rogers wedges, but it could easily be paired with some nude heels and made more dressy.
