Loft Dressing Room Diaries

I have been loving Loft lately! I included several things in my blog posts last week that I have bought recently, like this chambray tunic and these jeans. I love them both, and I tried on several other things that are really cute too! So today, I'm sharing all of my recent Loft finds in one place!

Also, I opened my email this morning to discover that some of these full price styles are 40% off, and all sale styles are 40% off! If you click on the words in Italics below, you will be taken directly to the item. When you are taken to the item, there will be red words that show you the item is on sale. If there are no red words, then it is not on sale. There is no code needed for this sale. If you'd rather go straight to the page of full price styles that are currently 40% off, you can click here!

Lou & Grey Striped Signaturesoft Tunic- This is quite possibly the softest and most comfortable sweater I've ever tried on. Lou & Grey makes the softest things. The stripes look darker than they are in this photo. They're actually a really pretty green. I'm wearing a medium, and it definitely gives an oversized fit. The leggings add to the comfort level of this outfit, but I think it'd be really cute with white jeans too.

Embroidered Bell Sleeve Tee- I love the stripes and embroidery combo! The bell sleeves are another plus! It's currently on sale for $20.99!

Plaid Blouson TopLove the length of this! I think it would be so cute with white jeans too. It's currently on sale for $31.79!

Scalloped White Shorts Scalloped Chambray Shorts- I died when I saw both pairs of these shorts! They are the type of shorts that will be worn over and over again all spring and summer. So cute!

Skinny Jeans- Size down in these. They are so comfortable and the best fit!

I also got this tankini top and this ruffle wrap bathing suit skirt. I'll do you the favor of not showing you pictures of those on me. I didn't even know Loft had bathing suits until I came across this one, and I love both the top and bottoms! I think this beach dress is adorable too!

Thanks so much for reading! Have a great day!

January Favorites

How is today already the last day of January?! Time is flying! In today's post, I've rounded up my favorite products from the month of January!

Facetune_30-01-2018-11-58-31 2.JPG

Favorite Dress // Favorite Top // Favorite Accessory // Favorite Shoes // Favorite Bottoms // Favorite Beauty Product

Favorite Dress- My Lilly Pulitzer sale dresses came in last week, and I LOVE THEM! I'm SO excited to get to wear them this spring to all kinds of wedding festivities!

Facetune_30-01-2018-14-32-51.JPG

Favorite Top- I tried this top on in black first, and I actually decided on the pink because the details are more visible. I shared it in yesterday's post because I think it is the perfect top to wear as we transition into spring! Other outfit details- white jeanscross body bag

B7162C39-707A-4028-8FF8-FE5C1C5C8FCA.JPG

Favorite Accessory- I went into the Kendra Scott store one day while I was in Memphis, and I had to have this bracelet. I bought it and gave it to Parker to give me for Christmas. You can see it in the picture above. It matches my Kendra Scott necklace, and I think it is such a classic bracelet!

Favorite Shoes- If these look familiar, it's because I shared them in Monday's blog post! Parker and I went to Jason's Deli on Saturday, which is close to Target... we were supposed to go to Kroger after lunch, but I convinced him that Swiffer refills are much cheaper at Target and we needed to stop by Target before we went to Kroger. :) I tried these on faster than I've ever tried anything on, and we were in and out of Target in less than 10 minutes. They run true to size and are under $35!

Facetune_30-01-2018-13-13-39.JPG

Favorite Bottoms- The only jeans I have worn for the past couple of years are Old Navy Rockstar jeans and jeggings. However, I heard really great things about Loft jeans and decided to give them a try when they were having a big sale. I am SO glad I did! I absolutely love the fit. The pair I got are midrise and so comfortable. I'm pretty picky when it comes to washes, and I love the color of these. I did have to size down 2 full sizes. This could have been a total ego boost had I not just tried on jeans at Anthropologie, where I still wore my regular size. So in my opinion, these run big, but they are the perfect fit when you size down! Other outfit details- thermal | booties (on sale!) | earrings

C394AF6E-91E0-4E86-97EB-CD5D435E5593.JPG

Favorite Beauty Product- I am so excited to share this with y'all! My go to lip product has been this Chanel Lip Color for a while now. My mom got it for me a couple of years ago, and it has been my favorite color to put on my lips ever since. The one problem is that it is pretty pricy. I discovered this NYX lipstick while I was at Target last weekend. It is obviously not as good as Chanel, but I am seriously impressed by it! The color is so pretty, and it goes on so smoothly. And the best part is that it is $6.99! I am wearing it in the photo below. Other outfit details- chambray tunic | leggings | boots

10 Things Tuesday- Transitional Tops

This type of blog post has become my favorite type to create. I am aware this is only my second one :), but I have so much fun giving myself a category and searching all of my favorite retailers to find the cutest things!

This week, I have rounded up 10 of my favorite transitional tops and sweaters. We are getting into a weird part of the year where we know we should still be wearing winter clothes, but we are tired of them and want to start pulling out our happy spring clothes. Plus, when it is 60+ degrees outside, it should be acceptable to wear spring clothes.

I tried to find tops and sweaters that are seasonally appropriate but also have a spring feel and can be worn into spring with white jeans. The prices range between $13 and $70. Now, let's get started!

A Chambray Top for Any Season

When Loft was having one of their sales a few weeks ago, I ordered a few things. This chambray top with tie sleeves was one of them. After getting it, I realized just how easy it is to style a chambray top. This is the second one I've ever owned, and I'm not sure why. I love it and have thrown it on several times since I got it.

Also, some fabulous news is that everything at Loft is currently 50% off with code MYSTERY! I have rounded up my Loft favorites at the end of this post!

Facetune_28-01-2018-18-31-04.JPG

I'm not sure about you, but I have had a hard time picking out my outfits during this weird transitional time. A couple of weeks ago, it was snowing, so I obviously wore my winter coat and warm layers. Then, we had a few days in the 60s, and all I wanted to wear was bright, happy spring clothes. However, it is still January, so I feel like it's still a little early to pull out my colorful spring wardrobe.

This chambray tunic is the perfect top to wear now. When it was in the 60s last week, I threw it on with these leggings and riding boots. I felt dressed appropriately for the weather and season. That is not always the easiest thing to do! Also, any top that is long enough to wear with leggings is a winner in my opinion!

Facetune_28-01-2018-18-16-26.jpg

It will also be great to wear in the spring with white jeans and wedges. Or even tied up and worn with white shorts and sandals this summer! I got these shoes for $32.99 this weekend and LOVE them! I think the color works really well with the chambray top!

Do you have anything in your wardrobe that you pull out every season? I'm pretty excited about this new addition to my closet! Thanks so much for reading! Have a great day!

I have shared quite a few posts in my Three Things Thursday series, and today I'm starting a new series! 10 Things Tuesday posts will occur when I have searched lots of my favorite stores online and narrowed down allll of the things I'm currently loving to my top 10 favorites.

Most of the items I'm including in today's 10 Things Tuesday are for spring, which is my favorite season! I am including captions on each of the pictures to share my thoughts with you. You can click on each picture to be taken directly to the retailer where it's sold!

This is the thermal that I said I purchased yesterday. Such a cute one!

3 Ways to Style a Faux Fur Vest

Now that it's warmed up a little bit again, we can ditch the heavy coats (for a few days anyway) and pull out our cute vests for a little warmth and fashion statement of course. I have heard people say they love fur vests, but they can't pull them off, so I'm sharing a few ways anyone can style them today!

1. Over a dress

IMG_0384.JPG

2. Comfy style- over a tunic and leggings

IMG_1669.JPG

3. Dressy style- over a dress shirt tucked into skinny jeans or pants

IMG_1668.JPG

My exact faux fur vest is by BCBGeneration from a few years ago. However, I have found several options that are very similar and affordable! All of the ones pictured below are under $32. The first one was originally $80 and appears to be the best quality to me!

Do you have another way you like to style a faux fur vest? I'd love to hear! Thanks so much for reading! Have a great week!

I finally got back into a routine this week, and (as a creature of habit) I'm pretty excited about it. My first full week of blog posts since before Christmas was shared, and I am providing links to them below in case you missed any!

But first, I'm sharing some fabulous sales taking place this weekend. I tried not to go too crazy with my choices and managed to narrow down my picks to 10 or 11 items per retailer (except for Anthropologie because I just saw they were having a sale this morning and found SO many things I LOVE!).

Weekend Sales

What to Wear for a Casual Valentine's Day

Does anyone prepare their outfits a month in advance?? Me neither. :) I do like to wear pink and red leading up to Valentine's Day. Maybe that's a teacher thing. My students always liked to wear their Valentine's Day clothes leading up to Valentine's Day (AKA the most insane day of the school year), and they loved it when I wore festive outfits too.

IMG_1440.JPG

Sweater | Faux Leather Leggings | Wedges | Earrings | Kendra Scott Bracelet | David Yurman Bracelet

So today, I'm sharing an outfit that could actually be worn any day, but the rose color of the sweater makes it the perfect option for a casual Valentine's Day. And I wanted to go ahead and post about this sweater now because it has sold out at several retailers. It already sold out at Nordstrom and Revolve. However, I found it in stock at Dillard's and Free People. It also comes in gray and red (which is actually more like a burnt orange), if rose is not your thing.

IMG_1441.JPG

My mom gave me this sweater for Christmas. She also gave it to my mother in law for Christmas. It looks so cute on her! It is a sweater that is perfect for all ages. My mother in law mentioned that she loves the cowl neck because it is so comfortable. It's not one of those necklines that chokes you. It lays so nicely! My favorite part is the length. It's perfect to wear with skinny jeans or leggings, which is always a win in my book!

IMG_1442.JPG

I paired it with some Spanx faux leather leggings because 1. I love them 2. They are so comfortable while also flattering and 3. They seemed to dress up this look a little more than a regular pair of leggings.

IMG_1439.jpg

I also threw on these wedges because they seemed to make this look a little dressier too. However, if the snow and frigid temps stick around, I will most definitely be in closed toe shoes. I actually wore it with these Rockstar jeggings and boots while I was in Dothan over Christmas, so here is another way to style this sweater. Thanks to Peyton Marie and Ann Clay for the photo!

IMG_1443.JPG

I have a dressy Valentine's Day outfit post coming soon and a gift guide too! Parker and I usually don't go too crazy for this holiday, but we always like to do something little to celebrate!

Thanks so much for reading! Have a great day!

Snow Day Essentials

Having lived in the south my whole life, I am clearly no expert on hardcore snow gear. What I'm sharing today is just a fun list of things we have used during the past few snow days we've had this week. And for the record, multiple snow days in one week is way more snow days than we are supposed to get in Mississippi (in my opinion). Our pups would agree with me. They are very confused by the snow and are not fans of it touching their paws.
