Did you have as much fun shopping yesterday as I did? Once you got through the dreaded virtual line, of course. I don't understand how that thing works. I used my phone and laptop to get on the website as soon as my blog posted at 6:30am yesterday. I got in with my phone right when the sale went live at 7:00 and had to wait over an hour to get in with my laptop. Regardless, I got in and am SO excited about my purchases! And the best news is that if you didn't get to shop yesterday, you still have until tomorrow at midnight to take advantage of the sale! And hopefully the virtual line will continue to get shorter and shorter! FYI- it does usually take less time than they predict.
I think the adrenaline rush of the sale caused me to miss a lot of items the first time I went through the sale items, so I checked back several more times (after waiting in the virtual line of course) and found more and more things I love! I have broken it down in today's post to try to make it easier for you to see all the cutest items!
The majority of the items I bought in my first round of shopping were sweaters and cardigans. Because I bought so many sweaters and cardigans, I then felt the need to go back a second time and buy some silk tanks to wear underneath the sweaters and cardigans. The sale prices are so amazing that it is totally justifiable!
One warning before you begin (or continue) shopping- if you have a husband who gets text notifications from your credit card company about potential fraudulent purchases, you may want to warn him that you are shopping the Lilly sale, which only occurs twice a year and is a HUGE reason to stock up on investment pieces that are marked down significantly. I am able to tell you this from personal experience.
Fortunately, before I placed my first order yesterday, I texted Parker and said my order started out at $___ (a high number), and I have gotten it down to less than half of that! So when he got the text from Capital One telling him the exact amount that was spent, he was not caught off guard and simply screenshotted it and sent it to me along with a haha. Hope this doesn't happen to you!
Also, Lilly posted on Instagram last night about several exciting things: they added new styles to the sale last night, more will be added today, more will be added tomorrow, and popovers are an item they have marked down!!!! A popover is the pullover I was wearing in yesterday's post, and I have shared it again today to remind you of what it looks like! SO cute and comfy! I sized up and LOVE mine! What are your favorite pieces to stock up on? I typically buy more printed dresses and tops, but I went with more cardigans and sweaters this year. I think that's because so many of the cutest sweaters and cardigans from the N Sale were sold out before I could buy them at the sale prices. It will take longer than usual for these sale items to get to us, but I cannot wait for that day to arrive! Have a great day!
