Three Things Thursday

It's been a while since I have written a Three Things Thursday post, but I hope you enjoy this one today. I am pretty excited to share about all 3 of these unrelated things.

Also, after sharing blog posts about Anthro Day on Sunday and the Lilly Sale Monday and Tuesday, I needed a little break yesterday. So instead of writing a blog post, I did some serious online sale searching and updated my Shop My Picks page with lots of sale items from 7 of my favorite retailers. If you haven't checked it out yet, you might just want to. My favorite long sleeve tee went on sale for under $15, so I scooped up 2 more yesterday, in addition to several other sale items you will be seeing very soon!

Alright, onto today's post...

1. Kleenex Facial Cleansing Products (Facial Cleansing Wipes and Exfoliating Cushions)- Since the Nordstrom Sale, I have participated in countless giveaways. When people are offering up Nordstrom gift cards and other fabulous items, why not follow a few people, like a few pictures, tag your mom and sister 7,000,000 times per day, and attempt to win some free money? I am sad to report that I have not won any monetary giveaways. However, I did enter a giveaway with a blogger that was giving away new Kleenex products to 20 people who entered her giveaway, and just guess who was one of the 20 winners! I am ALWAYS happy to try any new product that gets sent my way. And y'all, I loved them so much that they earned a spot in today's Three Things Thursday lineup!

Facial Cleansing Wipes- These are my favorite. I have tried several different makeup removing wipes that have hurt my face. Leave it to Kleenex to make the SOFTEST makeup removing wipes/cleanser on the planet. If you get really excited about how soft they are and leave the bathroom to rave to your husband about them and rub your eyeliner off your eye for too long, it does start to burn a smidge. However, if you use these wipes like a normal person and don't rub your eye for too long, they will become your favorite makeup removing wipes you've ever owned. I have used about 10 of mine and have had a wonderful experience 9 out of 10 times!

Exfoliating Cushions- I have used this Garnier Fructis face wash morning and night for years. I absolutely love it and honestly don't do anything to exfoliate my face. However, because these were sent to me, of course I tried them out. They are soft round cushions that cleanse, smooth, and brighten to reveal a healthy, radiant glow in just one use. With a description like that, who wouldn't try them? I have now incorporated them into my routine and use them twice a week. Parker hasn't mentioned anything about noticing my glowing face, but I definitely have enjoyed using them.

2. Vegetti- When I went home a few weeks ago and my family went out to eat, a side of zoodles (zucchini noodles) came with a couple of the entrees my family ordered. My mom was very impressed by them. I told her I got a vegetti as a wedding gift, and I had used it several times. I'm sure many people are a lot more familiar with it than I am. However, if you are unfamiliar with a vegetti, let me inform you- it is a spiral veggie slicer that makes veggie pasta. For example, the other night Parker and I had stir fry for dinner. Instead of eating regular noodles with our chicken and veggies, we used the vegetti to make squash and zucchini noodles. Parker typically is not a fan of squash, but when it was in the shape of a noodle mixed together with the rest of the stir fry, he actually really liked it! The vegetti basically turns your veggies into guilt free pasta! The one we have is under $10, and it works just fine for us! However, you can click here to check out one that is a little fancier but still under $20.

3. Hurricane Harvey Donation- After seeing how devastating Hurricane Harvey has been, Parker and I decided we wanted to help out in some way. SO many people and animals are suffering. Our hearts ache whenever the internet or news show us pictures of the many helpless animals that have been affected. I will not share any of the pictures I have seen because they are so hard to look at, but have you seen the images of the dogs, cats, horses, etc that have been floating around the news and web? They have really been tugging at our heartstrings, so we chose to help out by donating to Austin Pets Alive last night. You can click here to read more about it and give financial support that will go towards the care of many dogs and cats, if you feel called to do so. We look at our own sweet pups who are so comfortable on the sofa with pillows and blankets galore, and we say an extra prayer for all animals, in addition to people, who have been affected by this tragedy. After doing our research, Austin Pets Alive was where we chose to donate our money, but there are so many other wonderful places accepting donations too. Through this terrible tragedy, it is amazing to see so many people doing such amazing things for people and animals who need it the most.
