Living in the south, one of my favorite items to shop for each spring/summer is beach coverups. Whether going to the beach, lake, or pool, I will typically always get my money's worth out of my beach coverups.
I scored two of these when I went birthday shopping back in April. Then, I bought one for my mom in May for Mother's Day and loved it so much I had to get it for myself too. And the last one I got is the same style as one I bought in April, but a different color (white). It went on sale and my mom got it for herself and for me because we both loved the first (navy) one so much.
Sometimes I find one I love and wait to purchase it when it goes on sale at the end of the season. However, when I found all of these, they were must-have items that I needed immediately. This coverup was one of my favorite purchases I made on my birthday shopping trip. I love the lightweight fabric, the ties, the tassels, the colors, and the cute detailing on the sleeves. The navy is now sold out, but they still have the white one in stock in all sizes. This one fits pretty true to size, but you might want to size up for length. 2. Tipped Off-The-Shoulder Dress
I first thought this was a dress when I tried it on. I honestly didn't even know it was a coverup until I saw where it said that online. I think it can be worn as a coverup or dress. It runs really large though. I got a small and there is still plenty of fabric and length. I posted the bottom two photos because someone asked me last week if off the shoulder tops could be worn up or down. I say yes, wear them whichever way makes you feel more comfortable! This is the coverup that I bought for my mom for Mother's Day and also got for myself. I found it in the coverups category of J. Crew's website, so I always envisioned it as a coverup. However, my mom thought it was a dress. Just like the second coverup I talked about, I think this tunic can be worn as a coverup or dress. The scalloped details on the sleeves, bottom, and v neck are SO cute. I got a medium in this style.
